But then, when 'Legs' hit back in '83, there had to be 70s fans whining about the loss of 'Rio Grande Mud'. ZZ is as much pop as they are blues. Matter of fact, they're a pop blues band.
Plus this is like a slowed-down "She's a Heartbreaker".
as a zz top fan this is a breath of fresh air because for the past 15 years zz top has been in a slow tuned down funky gritty voodo sounding phase. lol its nice to hear a little more speed, and a catchy chorus again

I'm one of the biggest ZZ Top fans in Texas, but even I have to say that this song is slightly disappointing. The guitar riff is incredible and the grungy blues sound is exactly what I want from my bearded heroes..... but what's with the chorus? That doesn't sound like the ZZ Top I know and love. Lose the "Fly High" horseshit and this a badass song. They should release an instrumental version.
I think the chorus would work better if it was less processed and more spontanious. Each repeat of the chorus of the song sounds just like the one before it, no subtle differences. Otherwise, the song kicks a bit of ass.
I read the new album won't be out until March/April of next year, now. If it sounds anything like this garbage, I'm not that syked anyway. XXX was their last really good album.

The way the chrous changes and uplifts the tone in this track is awesome. I admire ZZ Top for doing a chorus with long vocal notes that you wont find on Mescalero for example. By the way Billy's guitar work is effortless, gritty and so ZZ Top! Go boys!!!

Sometimes I like this song. I really have mixed feelings. Ashamed is that Billy's leads lack the fire they had since the XXX album. Listen to his leads from Rythmeen, Antenna, XXX....He was on fire on those albmus. Mescarelo saw the downfall on that, with its emphasis on hooks.

Great chorus and the guitar work and solos are exellent - no other band can produce the guitar solos that Billy F Gibbons comes up with they are the ZZ Top trademark!!! There is nothing wrong with the chorus its very catchy and all in all its quite a feel good track! Great for cruising maybe? ZZ Top will never "lose it" as they proved when I saw them at Wembley Arena in 2009! I'd like to see another band exist for over 40 years with the original band members and still produce great tracks like this!!!

Sometimes I like this song. I really have mixed feelings. Ashamed is that Billy's leads lack the fire they had since the XXX album. Listen to his leads from Rythmeen, Antenna, XXX....He was on fire on those albmus. Mescarelo saw the downfall on that, with its emphasis on hooks.

Wow.. I waited this long for this? I know it's not the official version to be released on the album, but I can't imagine it's gonna be much better or different.. That chorus is extremely "run of the mill" and I think the whole song in general is boring and unoriginal.. Too bad.. Been a huge fan of these guys all my life.. Can't wait to hear the good stuff in a couple weeks when I see em live!

Man I was really diggin' it til the chorus hit me,
It's not bad really,but it seems a tad outta place...I don't know,just doesn't flow with the bad ass intro. chorus needs more,for the lack of a better term,
"balls".
But I realize this is a leak, and is by no means the final cut.

Just glad to have them back,still sounding great as always.

It's better than any current rock band, save for kings of Leon or one or two choice cuts I have heard. I would say the odds of the new ZZ being the best Rock album of the year are high. This song we are hearing is incomplete from an engineering standpoint

Ive just listened to this song for the first time and all I can say is WOW!!! It has elements of everything that make ZZ Top great! Great chorus and the guitar work and solos are exellent - no other band can produce the guitar solos that Billy F Gibbons comes up with they are the ZZ Top trademark!!! All the haters of this track are not true ZZ Top fans - open your minds as the band have done here!!! I saw ZZ Top live at Wembley Arena in 2009 they were awesome and such a great bunch of guys!

Great song! I think this song's chorus have not much differences with 'Gimme all your lovin' and all that Eliminator stuff. But sounds are better, especially drums. And of course this sounds better when they are playing it live!

The song's start is so familiar ZZ Top I thought I'd heard this before, but okay, sounds quite good. On comes the chorus and I can't believe my ears!! @papitsu2 Shows how much you know about ZZ Top! They have always made radio friendly music check out classic albums Afterburner and Recycler for examples of this! There is nothing wrong with the chorus its very catchy and all in all its quite a feel good track! Great for cruising maybe? ZZ Top will never "lose it" as they proved when I saw them at Wembley Arena in 2009! I'd like to see another band exist for over 40 years with the original band members and still produce great tracks like this!!!

Pretty good song by my favorite band. Blast beats are back. Could be a small radio hit, but was expecting more, with Rick Rubin at the helm. A bit disappointed. I think about a song like Cherry Red, from Antenna album...now that was a great song.
