I checked with my friend who knew about this crawler. He, like you, looked for documents on the transformation; but did not find anything. He only found that the job was done by a small shop in Fontainbleau, south of Paris. It was a one man mecanic shop and the place does not exist anymore. Sorry. Jerome

you certainly have the running gear of an M-29 Weasel here - original engine, tracks, and even shifter. I wonder what happened to the M-29 body? What a shame someone ruined it like this.
The engine is what i believe still the original one.

A company in France did those modifications for agricultural work (grapevine work). I can get more info if you whish.
