  • would this be considered a madrigal? its lovely.

  • @pakta900 Madrigals are generally classed as being secular in nature so not really

  • Uriah, blessings in abundance.

  • This anthem is amazing, especially the false relations and the english cadence :)

  • @smithd078105 We all love a good English cadence!

  • @64ftContraBombarde And a bad one actually...

  • just a question at :50 why do the soprano 2s (or alto 1s) have to hit a low e? that's just not cool aha

  • @DontfuckwithElton Altos were all male in those days.

  • @DontfuckwithElton Yeah...I'm not sure I can believe it, either.

  • This recording sounds familiar.... hmm, yes, I'm amongst those voices somewhere providing that it is the recording I'm thinking of... This was later used by the BBC in the mini-series 'The Choir' filmed at Gloucester Cathedral 1995.

  • Das ist ein Knabenchor, nur welcher?

  • Another great anthem for your collection. I think I see what you are doing now - you enter the notes in realtime on a MIDI keyboard. Unfortunately, this method does not automatically correct for enharmonic problems such as beat four of measure 37. Be sure to go back and proofread for these things since I'm sure there are singers out there who are using these videos for practice. Keep up the good work!

  • danke

  • omg thanks so much for actually adding my suggestion !!! this is such a beautiful piece.
