I agree, but they may be rentals (some parks, particularly DH ones, rent bikes) which is nice, but then there are guys like this that are on nice bikes but don't get full use out of them. That's what I hope at least, since there were a couple of four figure ($) bikes in there.

to me it seem´s that these guys are actually cross country or marathon bikers that are riding enduros for nearly the first time the way they are ment to be driven. or a tourguide is showing them some real enduro rinding techniques.
I wouldn´t say that they are pussies. as more bikers that don´t ride enduro very often.
for example (motorcycle): a really good superbiker doesn´t automatically ride moto cross like pastrana...
