Hey there, i dont play halo, i used to though. So, first of all, sniper rifle and battle rifle(BR) are the best guns, it takes 4 shots to kill someone(HEAD SHOTS) on full health with the BR, and the reason they drop the flag over and over again is to make it go faster. And it only takes one beat down (FROM BACK) to kill someone and 2 not in back. I hope this helps you! Bye bye

Theres loads of different gaem types just go to team snipers or team swat for something different, and people drop and pick up flags a lot because the flag slows you down so doing that makes you move almost normal speed :O

Halo is usually based on getting the power weapons or vehicles and such try that or like everyone else is saying play team snipers. Also since there are an abundance of grenades use those with the BR and watch the kill count go up

And the snipers spawn on special spots on each map but are hard to get because every player will try to get it. But there is a playlist called Team Snipers, but i believe you need all the map packs to play it.

the sniper is in a cirtian spot on each map and respawns after it has run out of ammo although there is a time delay. if you really want to use a sniper there is a game mode that spawns you with a sniper plasmas stick and so kill vehicals eisier and a stick anywhere on the body is an instant kill. aim for the head and upper torso as it will kill alot faster and use granades alot os a granade and shoot is a very reliable way to kill fast.

Jump when someone spots you. That usually makes them have to reload instead of killing you in a single clip. Use battle rifles, and aim for head/upper body shots. Plasma grenades are better because they can stick to people/vehicles and don't roll. On the topic of grenades, keep using them as much as possible, when you get good at tossing them, you can take off most of their health at once.

There is usually 1 sniper rifle at each spawn. When a sniper is out of ammo, it will respawn in its original location after 30 seconds. The location varies depending on the map, so I can't tell you where exactly to find it, because it is not a universal system.

Sniper Rifles have various spawn points on the map (you just have to get to them before someone else; I suggest checking out the map by yourself and learn the weapon spawns), Plasma Grenades have a lower throw arc than regular grenades but stick to people, their weapons, and vehicles, and the whole drop/pick up thing is to basically double your run speed while trying to turn in the flag (carrying the flag cuts your run speed by a certain percentage)

The sniper on this map is located in the room where you killed the total noob (you walked right past it) and the reason why people keep dropping the flag and picking it up is because you move slower when holding the flag. The reason why you cant play the other game modes is probably because you havent downloaded the map packs, Bungie made map pack requirements to play almost all playlists (gametypes).

Plasma grenades are grenades that stick onto enemies or vehicles. Spike grenades are grenades that stick onto any surface, and are the equivalent to MW2's Semtex, except they explode in fragments.

All weapons are located in different parts of the map. I sudgest you play a custom game by yourself on every map to learn more about them.

Halo 3 is fun IMO since everything is set and balanced, it in the end comes down to your own skill to determine your success. Ill answer any questions you got.

All weapons have set spawn points with respawn timers, get to them and pick em up. Sniping is very different btw.

When running a flag you move slower, By dropping and picking it up you go faster and can throw the flag short distances.

You can play any game type (dont do MLG) you will get matched into the game with people of your level.

my tips are, get use to the aiming system with all guns and especially snipers. adjust to the vehicle controls and which ones are better for certain situations. Never go with a warthog without a team mate. If the enemy is close with no shields, beat them down and not constanbtly shoot. Battle Rifle has a nice advantage with a 4 shot aswell as the magnum. Don't camp its a bad idea. Rockets win, Shotguns win, even Plasma pistols win.
