i live in toronto and we just had the (illegal) G20 and G8 summits here. Our normal peaceful city was suddenly a military zone and 100's of citizens were arrested and put in a warehouse space that was used as a temporary jail. Some of us were demonstrating, yes, but we have a civil right to do so - its not illegal. Some people were just walking home from work and "looked suspicious" and were detained 4 over 24 hrs.
