"One Hot Minute"... Im trying to find a song on it that I actually like.. it's Dave Navarro, I dont like his style at all. He made their music different.. made them into something they're not.

They even look wrong!! Why are they wearing make-up?! The guitarist is RCHP never cared about how they look.. e.g John, Josh & Hillel. Navarro is all about the look and it really annoys me... he doesn't suit RHCP.

@davidwantsahug If you really have listened to all of their albums, you should find plenty of material on One Hot Minute not only listenable and familiar but actually quite good. Aeroplane, My Friends, Coffee Shop, Walkabout, Falling into Grace and Shallow Be Thy Game could have been on any Chili's album.

And you really knew the first thing about the band and what they were going through at the time, you would know that they would have made a dark album with or without Dave.

I'm a RHCP fan since Mother's Milk, and listening to a lot of different music I can tell you that Blood Sugar Sex Magik is one of the most important album of my life. I was very pessimistic when John has leaved the band. When One Hot Minute came out I was a little bit confused. Now, after many years I can tell that OHM is their best work. Not their most important, but their best. And this it's different. This magical, articulate, gothic album doesn't stop to grow. And it's currently in my car.

RHCP as I have not seen more.

Now the concern is with more money, producing albums and accepted by commercial "critical."

It remains one of my favorite bands, but restrict myself to them before Californication (when they finally have been discovered by those who were corrupt and should not). In fact until the RHCP Blood Sugar Sex Magik was much more interesting, with attitude and quality.

But anyway ... that's how things are.

Funny how most songs of the Red Hot Chili Peppers are all influenced by their guitarist. With Hilel, it was a totally different sound....then with John it was a different sound, then with Dave, another gothic-like type of sound and back to John it was his better type of sound (Stadium Arcadium) and now Josh changed the band..with his style.
