My St Bernard was about eight when he died. I loved him so much. I still miss him though it was over two years since he died. He looked more like a Mastiff. He was sickly through his entire life. Had seizures, cost us a ton of money, but I never was sorry for having gotten him. A gentle giant he was, a very kindred soul. I'll never stop missing him, that's why I'll never have another. To me it was like losing a child. God bless you, Cutter.

They have a life expectancy of 8-10 years, kind of short. My St bernard is 7 and she is dieing of bone cancer, yet my grandmothers st bernard is 14 years old. Awesome dog, great protector and super great with kids. Very loving

It's really sad because I had one that lived to be 10 yrs old healthy and then my next one got bone cancer and died at 4. It was so sad. He was papered and everything. You just don't know. That's why I can't get another one.

haha! My Saint is outside right now covered in mud. She has so many pits dug in the backyard that it's hard to walk around. They fill up with water during a rain and she climbs in and starts digging. What a mess. Saints do love mud puddles
