I was just watching "Mystery Lights" on NGHD and they showed scientists in Hessdalen, Norway when they were tracking lights during a different time starting 2002 in a "science camp". Besides the various lights, lights closer to the ground, left spiral marks in the snow and were spiral like these lights shown in the sky in 12.2009. The snow was not melted and the area around it had normal bacteria but the area in the tracks had none. It was most interesting.

the videos are underexposed. The pictures are overexposed.
These are extremely low light conditions. The underexposed videos will show only a fraction of the actual event, and the overexposed images will show a slightly distorted version of the event.
The photos came in relative quick succession to the local newspaper just half an hour after the incident.
Since then atleast, they have not been altered as far as I can tell.

The blue spiral of smoke is real. The trail of vapor from an out-of-control missile could make that easily. The larger vortex of white light however is added in post with a computer program for video special effects. Without the white vortex, the blue smoke looks completely mundane.
I think you are close. I don't think eye witnesses saw the vortex, I think that came from a single camera shot that the media homed in on. I think the vortex was a lens effect from a cheaply made digital camera.
The blue colour is doubtless the trail from the rocket engines, ICBMs use propellents that are highly toxic that would never be used for routine space launches (hypergolic fuels that self ignite when they come in contact with oxidisers)

that picture is taken with long exposure (maybe around 2 seconds) and without a tripod. If you study all the streetlights, they all smear in the same pattern/direction. A photographer spots this right away. There's no triangle. it's just a spec of light that is smeared.
Hard to tell on this particular version though because of the Russia Today bar on the bottom of the screen.

There was another Russian test and the same happened. This kind of spiral in failed rockets have been seen at least two times before, all confirmed as spinning failed missiles. But this new Russian missile could hint at new gyroscopic stabilization proofs, but not necessarily.

the videos are underexposed. The pictures are overexposed.
These are extremely low light conditions. The underexposed videos will show only a fraction of the actual event, and the overexposed images will show a slightly distorted version of the event.
The photos came in relative quick succession to the local newspaper just half an hour after the incident.
Since then atleast, they have not been altered as far as I can tell.

The blue spiral of smoke is real. The trail of vapor from an out-of-control missile could make that easily. The larger vortex of white light however is added in post with a computer program for video special effects. The confusion of reporters with eye witness accounts describing "spirals" leads to reporters thinking the doctored photo and video are real. It's complete and utter horse shit. Without the white vortex, the blue smoke looks completely mundane.

I think you are close. I don't think eye witnesses saw the vortex, I think that came from a single camera shot that the media homed in on. I think the vortex was a lens effect from a cheaply made digital camera.
The blue colour is doubtless the trail from the rocket engines, ICBMs use propellents that are highly toxic that would never be used for routine space launches (hypergolic fuels that self ignite when they come in contact with oxidisers)

there might have been debris. According to a fisherman, "something" landed in the ocean not far from his boat. I have the coordinates. It is just outside of Tromsø. If this is true, if he's not just an attentionwhore.. A very high altitude could explain why debris landed so far away from where the russian govt claim it exploded, over int. waters.

The vid on this link shows what appears to be a Newton ring effect with the vapour trail growing thicker in phase with the rings. ... camera lens.
Your link is not so easy to explain. Maybe the rocket way up in a near vacuum spinning at ninety degrees to its vertical axis before it broke up or was self destructed, hence the spiral rather than rings.
