Fake, fake, fake, fake, fake!! I can't believe how many people think this is real. I don't know any powerlifter or strongman in the world that can do anywhere near this. If he's that strong (i.e. the best bencher in the world), why no other videos posted?
that bad is barely bending, next time you go to the gym(which i doubt you do), put that much weight on the bar and tell me how much it bends, even while stacked... and then compare that to this joke.
Thanks for posting this!! I knew the plates were plastic. When I first seen the first version. The guy said he was told he was too strong for the worlds strongman contest. I'm no hater but I do hate fakes. And no my max isnt that high my 1 rep is only 350lbs. If he could bench 585 for 20 reps his raw max would be 954.36lbs. LMFAO
I'm not sure off hand. I havent ever wanted to act like Im lifting something I couldnt. They use them for photo shoots in muscle mags and in movies. Since they are safer and a photo shoot can take hours to do. Not like a bodybuilder can hold 500+lbs on the bench so a photographer can take 50 shots of it. One forum had the subject and said one 45lb plate was really 15 lbs
haha ur the one that believes those bars only hold 500 lol ur a dumbass nowhere on that bar does ti show the make or model of the bar so it would be hard to guess if your school has the exact same bar your school must have some major pussy ass kids if not one person has exceeded 500 to prove your theory of a bar breaking in half wrong...Stay in school little one
I can't believe how stupid some of you guys are...They have these set up at the Arnold Classic and Olympia expo so you can get your picture or video taken with what looks like 585lbs but it's really only 185lbs....It's just harmless fun...Not a BIG DEAL!!!!
the spotters there at the arnold told me it was 255lbs...these plates were used in the Rocky movies, they weigh a little less than half a regular plate would
haha im not sure man, i benched it, felt like 250 to me if not then maybe they used different weights that year.?...i just did it once and have a vid on my phone of it...since my max then was 265..the plates weighed 16lbs so 16x12=204 and the bar weighed 45 so all together about 249lbs still heavy but not 585 lol
I was told by my boy that was there that it was real light, and he said he even curled it a couple times. He was like it felt like 135 to him or less. I forget the name of the nutritional company that had this setup out, but I hear they have it at one of the shows yearly. It did look like this guy was somewhat working though in this vid, but he doesn't seem like he could toss around 250 this many times. I've also seen pics of girls doing it.Still, you might be right..
Yeah you have really good points man. After watching this video it really doesnt look like this guy could toss around 255 that many times so im really baffled now lol. Like i said before i did do it and it felt like 255 but that was at the arnold classic in 06 so who knows if it changed or not...theres alot of these fake vids out there but point being their fake as hell hahah glad theres atleast ONE sensible person here take it easy bud
I'm definitely thinking that when this vid was made, it was lighter than 250. He flows too easily through it to be even 175. This guys max would have to be at least 500, for him to be this comfortable.Look at him, he's not big enough for that. He even pauses at 20 without a sweat and says "how many was that?" haha! 135 sounds about right to me. Even still, it would be cool to own that weight set for laughs! Have a good one man
wow i'm glad you put this video up for all the fucking idiots that believe the shit on that faggots account haha and he only approves comments of people that don't realize they're being fucked mentally
hahahahaha, this is what im talking about, the other dude filters his comments and leaves only the dumb asses who have never lifted a weight in their life to comment on his video, well done planetrage
I once benched 600 pounds for 50 reps no big deal

well i really dont think this could be factual, how can people be bothered to leave videos which obviously dont portray the truth

This is hella fake, you can tell just by the noise and force the bar makes when he sets it back down on the rack.
