i never got how to pin buns the right way so it stays throughout the day. i mean, where are you supposed to pin and where are you suppose to pin it onto? i get the criss-cross method, but it really isn't easy for me. someone help?

Ouch! back combing is terrible for your hair, it causes breakage and you're putting it into knots. Also, finger combing is different than scrunching your hair with your fingers.
