  • "...a very severe bore obstruction." LMFAO

  • sending it back to hi point for the warranty is just abusing their good warranty. come on guys.

  • all those guys that defend this crappy pistol in comments amuse me. why do you want to bus this... thing... if you just can save up a bit more and buy something better?

  • @akkudakkupl because this is probably more durable than the so-called 'something better'. if it's so crappy, try the same shit with any other gun and see how far you get. it's also accurate as hell and made in USA with a great warranty. you gun snobs amuse me.

  • @Thrashaero I wouldn't trust my life into a gun that jams so often. And for a recreational shooter you are far better off with a .22LR

  • @akkudakkupl where's the proof it jams so often? The only thing I have heard bad is that the flanges on the top of the magazines may need some adjustment. But it's not the gun itself. Also it's ~$150. Comparing a gun at that price point to another at 400+ is just fucking stupid. Maybe point to some other better gun at the same basic price and there's a conversation worth having.

  • @Thrashaero for $150, what qualities are you willing to sacrifice?

  • Comment removed

  • what happened to the trigger gaurd?

  • should of read the warranty lol, now try that last test with a glock

  • i don't think hi-point's warrantly covers that kind of abuse lol

  • i've got a few expensive guns, also have a Hi-Point C9. after the apocalypse there will be only two things left, cockroaches and C9s. and cmon, everyone, the warranty is for normal use, it was severely voided; buy another one. thanks for the time and effort of the review

  • the frames are abs plastic. they melt at a low temp. leave it in your glove box in the summer and it will practically melt and bind up. ive actually seen this happen so whatever hi point says its true

  • @bulletboys11 "practically" melt? so it never melted then, right? and how vague is "low" temp; 150, 250, 350? never mind, rhetorical questions... if you're going to pretend to have some technical knowledge here it would be nice to present a clear observation and some hard data.

  • @desirefirst however hot it got in the car... irrelevant. the fact is it siezed up. end of story. i was impressed with the tests but i still believe that if they are the only ones making production firearms that cheep they cant be "quality" ive had experience with them and they shot fine, didnt jam, good warrnety, ect. but i wouldnt put my life on somthing that i know had corners cut to produce. opions are like assholes. everyones got one and some stink more than others.

  • @desirefirst Maximum Temperature: 176°F 80°C Minimum Temperature: -4°F -20°C Autoclavable: No Melting Point: 221°F 105°C Tensile Strength: 4,300 psi Hardness: R110 UV Resistance: Poor Translucent Rigid Specific Gravity: 1.04 hope this is enough info for ya. in indiana it gets below -4 and will get above 175 in a car stats on abs plastic
  • @bulletboys11

    bullsh*t

    google "indiana heat records"

the highest temperature this years was in the 90s

now google "How hot do cars get?"

the highest it has was 125°F, equaling an oven temperature of 159°F, which is STILL

below the "melting" temperature of the material you stated that's used to make hi-points

so unless you throw it in boiling water or strike it in really hard in cold weather (which will damage almost EVERY gun, regardless metal or polymer frame), a HI-point it will be fine.

  • @maxwell07261990 yeah i live here and i know that my thermometer read over 105 this summer and its that the temp inside the glovebox of a black sedan with black leather interior sitting in an open parking lot for over 8 hours? what about other states like nevada or texas or anyother state that gets warmer than here? they are pieces of shit and im not gonna choose where i live so my guns can function. it would be cheeper to buy a better gun.

  • @desirefirst it does not melt it becomes plyable. so it shrinks and grows and forms around things... IT WILL SIEZE UP over 175 and it will crack if hit under -4... good luck with your hi-point ;)

  • Just out of curiosity did Hi-Point honor its warrantee? I thought the tests were great and if anything, it "should have" shown your audience the reliability of the gun. Granted it would appear being a reliable gun as well as being inexpensive. Looking forward on hearing from you soon!

  • i the same test with a glock

  • that slide barely moves

  • That would be funny you here that car start and you here "why is there a bolt in my door?!?"

  • haha,.....but I would have liked to see a case loaded to MAX w Bullseye or something hotter,Longshot maybe....

  • im sorry but youns is rich sobs give me them guns

  • @jwheetree no they havent because they wont hold up. these guys just wanna try and bust hi points balls, but all the shit you guys do they still shoot huh? waste of fucking time idiots.

  • stop talking and get it one. I cant believe you two guys arent frenching out man!! What a waste of time and hunk!Play me some country nusic and start making babies you time wasters.

  • Has anybody ever tried this on a Glock? Sig? XD?

  • Wow! Brutal!

  • the fishing line along with the 5 dollar shop vice just makes your video look cheeezy.

  • LOL, hat was great! I still wouldn't own one, but now I have a little more respect for them.

  • HI-POINT = AWSOME!!!! thanks so much , can't wait to buy them ..

  • Hi Point's are fun little guns. Not the most accurate, and a less than ideal trigger, and they're pretty ugly, but for the price they're great plinkers. And I am surprised at how well it stood up to the bolt.

  • Thanks for making the video, highly amusing! good stuff

  • @daytripper42 and yet, you watched the video, and took the time to comment.

  • did u send it in to hi point

  • you guys are sick.....lol

  • You guys are nuts!!!

  • WHY destroy the pistol ? Such a waste of money. You know how many killers could have used that gun.

  • OMG these guys are soo boring....Nothing is worse than boring. , Yeah thank got you guys do the "bolt in barrell" torture test because when I was on patrol in Anaconda I had a hard core bolt carrying terrorist shove a bolt into my barrell. And wouldnt you know it my "combat master, gun of bitter lament colt 45." jamed. I wish I had a hi-point...or at least those cheesy looking green coats. Looks gay but if it could make me less of a target I would wear two of them.

  • OMG these guys are soo boring....Nothing is worse than boring.

  • daytripper - don't you know that rednecks are experts when it comes to f-ing things up. Give these guys credit and Hi-point as well. They took this weapon to task and the firearm showed its metal. Quit hating cause you can afford to spend more...some of us cannot afford a Glock, but Hi-point is leveling the playing field.

  • great video guys a will and testament to the readability of these pistol just seeing this video makes want to go another hi point c9

  • You know, I really hate you cocksuckers. You guys are arrogant, wasteful pieces of shit. What, just because you're fat redneck trash, you think you're an expert on guns? You aren't experts on shit other than being trailer trash pieces of fuck.

  • Did Hi-point fix your gun? lol

  • @Iraqveteran8888 how much does the 9mm hold and how many magazines does it usually come with?

  • I like the wermacht raingear

  • I hope this will shut up some of the misinformed gun snobs that think because the gun is cheap (price wise) that it's a piece of garbage, and not worth anyone's time....or that it's gonna blow up in your face. To all the snobs out there....go fuck yourselves. Thanks for this video.

  • @boochieboy814 Me too...their reliable guns...ppl need to get over the look/weight of it and realize that for under 200 bucks its a fine pistol...pretty accurate and can take a lot of abuse as shown...people with deep pockets need to drop the subject...hi point makes fine pistols

  • Awesome videos guys!

  • my question is......did they give you a gun back after you sent it in.....proud hi point 40 owner as i am. i am just curious as to if they did....if they did it will make me more comfortable about getting my gun.

  • What are you guys wearing?

  • This is pretty impressive, I'd consider doing a Hi-point fire to catastrophic failure with ball ammo.

  • Iraqvetran8888 what is the best brand of ammo to use for the hi point?

  • what did the 10grain Bullseye cartridges look like after firing?????

  • I reeeeeeally need to get around to picking up a Hi-Point C9 and/or JHP sometime just for giggles ... even if only for the sake of pissing off gun snobs. What cracks me up is folks saying Hi-Points are "too big" or "too heavy" - really, compared to Glocks, their size and weight figures are pretty dang close to being the same. Hi-Point just needs to change 3 things on their guns: 1. Add double-stack mags, 2. Make the mag release button stick out less, and 3. Improve the safety lever shape/size.

  • Double Dang

  • If you only have $1000 to spend on guns, you can probably buy one of every model Hi-Point makes and still have money left over. You MIGHT be able to pick up 2 Glocks for the same money. I'd rather have 6 Hi-Points than 2 Glocks.

  • @huttwigley agreed

  • @huttwigley agreed, whats better than a glock? The 5 High-Point pistols you can get for the price of one glock. High-Point are fine guns too.

  • You had me pretty nervous with the bolt pounded into the barrel! Excellent video!

  • My son almost bought one of these at the "Cheaper Than Dirt" store in McKinney Texas...

  • If you read the warranty it does not cover this type of damage...damn how fuckin stupid are you? The warranty clearly covers what is covered unconditionally and what is not. Again these are not everyday, real word do stuff; real world likely applications...geez.

  • I am very interested on what happens with warranty, I just purchased a 9mm hipoint. so far I am impressed with the results. this is my first purchase.

  • love to know what they did for warrenty. and with all the other big names thats what you pay for a name. what alot of people dont know is that hi point uses some of the same components the glock does. i know the blow back spring is one of them

  • I had a guy at a range walk up to me and ask if I knew why his revolver was locked up. I couldn't safe it cause the cylinder was froze shut. The hammer was down, I looked in the bbl and cylinders. There were two bulges in the bbl. After questioning him, I realized he had a squib on the first rd, and he pumped two more behind that. The owner of the indoor range bought it off him for $50. I don't understand how they stacked in the bbl like that. GREAT Video guys!

  • @DMarksmanLima21 My brother put some CB short 22's in his heritadge rough rider and fired them out of the 22 magnum cyllinder, 3 bullets lodged in the barrel had no idea , unplugged'em and theres no buldges. Just wont be putting those cb shorts in the mag cyllinder anymore :D 130 dollar gun lol

  • @SupremeAmerican I bet that was a task clearing that bbl. I'm an Instructor in Appleseed and nearly all students use 22LR rifles for the 25m course. One thing I always remind them is this cartridge, the 22, operates at a higher pressure than the 45acp, and to keep the rifle clean and learn your rifle so you can tell when you may have a squib rd (one stuck in the bbl.). If you haven't been to an Appleseed, visit RWVA dot org. On YT look up "Appleseed Project" to see videos here. Thanks!

  • For Sale: Hi-Point pistol, slightly deadlined. $10 OBO

  • @Scorpiuszeroone if you were serious and it was a high point i would take it as i have seen them fixed..

  • @1fast2liter

Nah, my comment was just a joke. If you could fix it after that more power to ya! Video was damned funny though. LOL

  • People only argue about these things because they are jealous or have nothing better to do like play ps3 or something like that.

  • Fantastically entertaining !! Thumbs up~!

  • Just bought my hi point 45 jhp and fired 400 rounds of winchester through it no jam. My para gi expert stopped woking/ jamming at 301 rounds and have to stop because it kept on jamming.

  • OD green lab coats. Professionals inded >:D

  • You should send this to hi-point and see if the warrenty covers this abuse. Also see if they'll send you a few more to play with.

  • There is nothing on the internet more interesting than pushing the extreme limits of a particular firearm, mainly because I don't have the heart to do it myself. Those German "lab coats" are a nice touch, wearing those, you could say anything and I would believe it. Excellent channel.

  • Crazy stuff guys, simply crazy. I'd never buy a Hi-Point for myself just because the guns are bulky, ugly and I already own several pistols that serve the same purpose. But it's great to see that someone without a lot of options isn't getting junk. I doubt anyone would argue a Colt, S&W, Glock, etc. is more desirable but if your bank account dictates a Hi-Point, you'll still get a decent quality and obviously very safe pistol. Thanks for the test and video upload.

  • @no1warhawkfan ha You will be surprised.. People were saying in their last video that they "fudged" the data because the gun would not actually continue to work.. People are just plain AGAINST them because they are cheap. They just refused to believe the data.. I own a hi-point C9 and a springfield XD9 and although the XD is more comfortable to shoot, I LOVE MY C9. It goes boom every time I pull the trigger without a hitch and hits where I point it.

  • @no1warhawkfan And... I personally feel the hi-point pistols rank right there with the ruger 1022. Every single person should own one if not more.. I personally feel it is the best gun you can buy dollar for dollar. It WILL shoot no matter how bad you beat it, and it is VERY safe because it will never come apart. And it has the best warranty in the business.. Lifetime, no matter which owner you are from first to 10th.. If you find one that doesn't work, BUY IT and send it in. Fix for free

  • you should throw one in a bonfire like the other youtube guy did i cant rember his name the fish it back out of the ashes when the fire burns out and see if they replace it after all there warrenty dose state All Hi-Point firearms carry a lifetime,

no-questions asked warranty. Whether you are the original purchaser, or a third-hand owner, your Hi-Point firearm will be repaired free of charge.

  • @bigjohn20081983 then fish it back out i meant

  • Hey did hi-point fix the gun for free??

  • Man, that's awesome...someday I was planning on getting one of these just to mess around with, but I kept thinking...is this really safe enough?

Well...it sure is ugly, but for a less-than 200 dollar 9mm semi-auto, that' freakin' amazing!

  • i think one of the biggest things that probably helped this gun survive the overloads and barrel obstructions is that its a recoil operated gun and doesn't have a locking or tilting action. The severe over presure was probably released by the slide prematurely coming out of batery as to where a glock or guns of the like have the tilltin barrel that would contain the pressure longer causing failures.

  • This video is worth 10,000 words.

This should effectively put the whole "Is Hi-Point crap?" debate to a rest. I hope this vid gets you lots of views.

    Great work.

  • I went shooting with a friend that had a Hi Point. It had me kind of worried. There weren't any problems, besides looking cheap. These two videos have made me feel better about him having a 'cheap' 9mm pistol. I will be interested to see what Hi Point does about the warranty. I still don't think I'll be trading my Glock in, even for two of them. Just my $.02 worth.

  • Damn I am glad I bought a Hi Point. Excellent and tough. Keep hating on it. I love it.

  • LMAO ~ inexpensive doesn't mean cheap. Most people have probelms due to the fact they purchase junk ammo, never clean and are hung up on big name brands.

We spent last week in Rayle, visited my brother in Dunwoody now back home in the snow again.

  • ...next can we see the hi-point fireing underwater ?

  • Comment removed

  • I own a C9 and the only issue I have seen was cheap ammo. Now that being said, I would not bet on one of these the same way I would bet on a Kimber...

Thanks guys, this was an awesome review, both videos!

  • @kendrickmeadows I would make that bet....and I own 3 Kimbers! Bottom Line: Hi-Point CF380 and the C9 are reliable PERIOD. It took a series of extreme test in unlikely conditions to even cripple the them! My Hi-Point (s) are very reliable. Any gun is reliable if you take good care of it, and know how to shoot.

  • ☆☆☆☆☆

  • @kalliste23 I know...I don't get a cookie after all.

  • great muzzle control fuck head

  • What happened to the .380?

  • @MrSean1997 Its caked in mud...we may wash it out and try it again eventually.

  • this is the video all the hi-point haters don't want you to see!!!!!

  • Perhaps Hi points aren't so bad, but a Makarov would be a better use of about the same amount of money.

  • @M733 the hi point is made in the usa not soviet russia ... lmao

  • It will be cool to see what Hi Point has to say about the guns & videos.

They should give you something for the Hell day tests!

  • Nice job...just one question remains.... How good was their warranty service after that one. lol.... Well done tho.

  • @RabbitusMaximus Coming soon.

  • @Iraqveteran8888 I don't want to see theyr faces, when they see this coming in haha :D

  • lmao, I wonder what the guys at Hi-point are going to think when they get it.

  • Hi-Point, who knew they are that good, to hear everyone else you'd think they were unreliable garbage, guess not, hell I might get a few, why not?

  • thanks for leten me now.

  • IV, sure a very good test. |You can fix the gun, and go ahead with the tests! Keep going!

  • Americans have their cheap-ass Hi-Points, and us Canadians have our cheap-ass Norinco Chinese-made rip-offs of brand name pistols. Though the larger magazines in most of the US is an advantage over the 10 round limit we're stuck with up North here.

  • Warranty? Wait was it a joke or are you guys really going to attempt returning it? Lol did it say like: Will never stop working garunteed" or sumting?

  • @SuperSneakySniper no there warrenty just says All Hi-Point firearms carry a lifetime,

no-questions asked warranty. Whether you are the original purchaser, or a third-hand owner, your Hi-Point firearm will be repaired free of charge.

  • So y'all best keep us posted with the warranty!

  • Comment removed

  • @FreuderLocks We have this amazing device called a tripod man...90 percent of film makers on youtube really need one. We are both gunsmiths that have years of experience...the gun is empty. Get a life you damn loser.

  • Comment removed

  • @FreuderLocks Most likely, you have never even touched a "real" firearm, life isnt like call of duty, iraqveteran was obviously in the military, from my understanding a very decent gunsmith, and im pretty sure he has yet to have an accidental discharge, < same goes for the other guy who's name i do not know.

  • @jarod445 Dude, don't waste your time on this guy. He's just out for an argument no matter what. There are always those types of people out that honestly have nothing better to do. Comes from these reasons:

    1. They personally have had a ND so they automatically think everyone else is going to do it.

    2. They do not own guns and are scared of them

    3. They are left wing, liberal vaginas with nothing better to do than spam gun youtube accounts

    4. They are jealous of our handsome coats...

  • @lrteke Shut up and go watch a nutnfancy video.

  • @Iraqveteran8888 ROTFL that was a pot shot!

  • yall are defiantly some mad scientist. It would be cool to see if you had another barrel to drop in just to see if all the internals work. I would be willing to bet if you give the rights to Highpoint on your vid they will probably give you 2 brand new pistols just to show how durable they are. Not bad pistols just toooo dam heavy. they do make good boat anchors if they dont replace them!

  • hell yah that what the f*** im talking about nice video I really liked it. mail that sh*t back to hi-point.. see what they do plz keep us updated with what happens. they are vary hard to make blow up but I bet gun shops say they will blow up cuz they make no money on a 130$ pistol sale lol sad...

  • Hmmmmm.....

  • They are vary nice weapons for someone that don't have a lot of money to work with and want a cheap and dirty nothing fancy sidearm to protect their family. I have one in .40S&W and am vary happy with it!

  • i saw some kid blow up a tech9 at the range last week, i guess he bought it used and didnt have the headspace checked. He was lucky and didnt get hurt. It blew the gun in half!!...very entertaining vid though

  • @MrPettj The Tec-9 is a blowback gun...I wonder what made it fail...

  • @MrPettj My vote is he had a squib. Manually cycled the action after the squib and fired a good round into a plugged bore.

  • @soloban81 Yeah, but still...these videos prove that even a severe bore obstruction is not too much for a blow pack pistol to shrug off. A bullet in the barrel is nothing compared to a hardened steel bolt that weighs about an ounce...!

  • @Iraqveteran8888 ....Yeah it was funny even though the tech9 was blown in half...The range master still bought it off the guy for 200 bucks!!...wtf

  • Do all of the torture tests with a glock!

  • I bought one after your first video, this only makes me more satisfied with my choice. For $140 I got a 9mm that can, apparently, handle all hell, lol

  • OUT STANDING!

  • Absolute total insanity but still fun to watch

  • I'm going to have to buy one of these now, what you guys did far exceeds any +P loads or general abuse. It's looking to me like it might be a great gun for the 4 wheeler or for whatever purpose you don't care to subject your nice guns to. If you think about it, I spend more than the cost of one of these on a casual (shooting) outing. Yup I'm getting one, just not gonna tell anybody. :-)

  • love the video so all the hi point haters on here lying saying they blow up in ur hands and aint good for nothing i hope this shut you up hi point is a good gun i have a 380 and i love it and after all they put that gun thru they still can cash in on the warrenty and gun a good ass new gun so take that glock,sigs,etc....: (

  • That was killer ...

  • I think your torture test speak well of Hi points quality.

  • As a courtesy to Hi-Point, please at least let them know what you're doing to this gun and why. The warranty doesn't cover rampant abuse like this, and while I think there's a good chance that they might fix it up for you anyway in order to have a widely-publicized torture test, it's only fair to offer them the option. The warranty is in case the gun doesn't work as designed, and we can see it far exceeds that benchmark. Please don't take advantage of the fine people who make this weapon.

  • @BranthTheMarksman Of course...I am going to burn these two videos do a DVD and send along with the guns...lol

  • Hmmm... the new Sammy standards?

  • I don't care what you do to it, its still a shitty pot metal pistol.

  • @Ivanovitch2885

For a "shitty pot-metal pistol," it sure took a lot of abuse that would have ruined many a more expensive firearm, didn't it?

Obviously, nobody here is going to convince you. It's clear that your dislike for these guns is based more on elitism than any honest measurements. The C9 could eat dirt and shit diamonds, and you'd still hate it. It's a working man's gun, priced within the reach of just about anyone, and it allows those with limited means to protect their families.

  • @Ivanovitch2885 i respect ur feelings on the gun but clearly the facts still stand the gun is good

  • what what in the butt as a related video? :| this is more disturbing than anything else

  • The new Mythbusters are here. Good vid.

  • Maybe if you welded the bolt in place? Like I said before I used to be worried about +p rounds in mine but you guys have given me peace of mind.

  • Professional dumbasses. LOL!

  • oh wow that was nuts xD

  • Well done test!!!!

  • these handloads are not cutting it. top off a casing with nitro, and force a heavy bullet in. now we are talking overpressure.

  • "They have a warranty, correct?" Funniest damn thing I've heard in awhile. Reminds me of Hunter S. Thompson.

  • WOW!!! I mean, I've carried a Hi-Point for years and have gone on on their value and reliability... but damn! This pretty much proves it. Hate all you want on the inexpensive workhorse of the American firearms industry, but you can't beat this testimonial. Shove a BOLT into the barrel, and it will STILL function!

Seriously, what other gun builder can willingly stand up to that kind of test?

  • @neothespian Glock.

  • saw barrell off and weld a peice of 3/8 pipe back to it or better yet just saw the barrell off .............. i wish you would have put a squibed load in it just to see if it would shoot both projectiles love your vids

  • wow hell of a handgun and a great waybto put out the hi point name

  • So Hi-Point pistols are extremely tough and reliable for the price? lol

  • @iraqveteran888 I wonder if this reliability also applies to the hi point 9mm carbine

  • I don't think I will ever down talk Hi-Points again. That thing should have been a grenade!

  • I'm starting to have some respect for Hi-Points. That was impressive.

  • had the 45jhp loved it called it the block

  • "They have a warranty" LOL

  • @locknloadvideo

You laugh, but HP has a "no questions asked lifetime" warranty, and I'm willing to bet that not only will they send that gun back as new as can be, but they'll probably throw in a free magazine or a hat or some such flash to go along with it. The big name gun companies can learn alot from Hi Point

  • Great videos - Looking forward to part 3 with the barrel turned down!

  • @parrotheadlasvegas Me too!!! coming soon

  • Wow I am really surprised that gun did not blow up in a big way.

    Fun Stuff guys!!

  • if you really send it to hi point please let us know what they say

  • those are some pretty spiffy smocks!!!

  • @jerryboy219 In order to be considered professionals we have to have to look official....lol
