The car was a mock-up, not a real 911 turbo. They made an older, non turbo porsche to look like this just to shove off the cliff.
my dad in the panel trade always knew about this film. because of the dulux refinisher trade journal and it showed them featuring a panel shop converting a standard porche into a turbo body porche for the film. dad was pretty dismayed about the wreck at the end, which also is featured in the article, sounds like a real one and a dodgy one was used, dad knew this film was from the early 80's as he was a third year aprentice painting trucks. hope this helps, Rhys.
