@matangiakeorange78 Those in the video are Melanesian (probably from Papua New Guinea) which is the Pacific ocean, not even close to Zimbabwe! And this is not necessarily Tahitian music though it can be used for their dances, as it can be for many Polynesian and Melanesian dances.
Though it was used for the Tahitian dance in SYTYCD, the people in this video are far from Tahitian. They are Melanesian and appear to be from Papua New Guinea or perhaps West Papua.
this song is the best. if you really wanna dance like lauren on sytycd, then go to nonosina.com and check out their studio in aneheim california! nonosina is da shit and i miss dancing there! check it out yo!
So you think you can dance! Lauren and Marc danced Tahitian to this song :} I looooove that dance! Can't stop watching it! ....and listening to this song <3
This song is amazing, it's so popular even before SYTYCD, the dance they did though...I loved the idea of it but the girl didn't do well at all. Why WHY did the judges have no clue how to judge a style of dance?? That made the show look bad in my opinon =/ You should try Tahitian!! TRY IT! It's beautiful, don't be intimidated, it's amazing! :]
Are they making ketchup?

Who is this group? Are they Tahitians? Africans?
rayva1 1 year ago
@rayva1 It's Tahitian. The chanting is domestic to the Polynesian island and the drum beats are in the Tahitian style.
