  • economist live blog ftw

  • wtf how the f did oget here from i hoddie allen o.O

  • midnight in paris is one of the worst films of the year and allen is ugly human being.

  • woody allen movies are average at best woody harrelson the better woody.

  • fielding melish i lov u !!!

  • wow, that was epic. very engaging. pure comedy gold, jerry.

  • @karezza1 If you find him creepy and repulsive then why did you watch a video of him if you have already made your mind up that you don't like him

  • B.F. Skinner was right. I think Allen would agree, and cry at the same time?

  • I wish I could party with woody Allen, or at least that moose.

  • The greatest and most intelligent actors/director in the history of cinema. This IS HILARIOUS.

  • BRILLIANT

  • Agdv

  • wE heAr d&m waS fuN..

  • whose a famous italiAn artisT in graFFiTi.

  • make sure u tell real illustrators...

  • i betcha woodY had recOrdS

  • films about what bald fat guys

  • woody has a few little jokes

  • he was paid ?

  • believe it or not u dont have to show mE wOOdy..

  • don't worry woody didn't have manY friEndS..

  • SHY caS...

  • My brother had the two album set of Woody Allen's stand up and when I was a baby, he used to play this. I thought it was hilarious. Woody Allen was a funny stand up back in the beginning of his career...

  • Nice deinterlacing.

  • Love how he says "The moose is furious" - just something so funny about that line lol

  • Well - I came here cause of Bill Hicks, (I thought, looking for some new comedians to watch - new to me - maybe I'd like Woody Allen, since I'm a fan of Bill Hicks.) - and I watching this, I can see a lot Hicks' mannerisms.

Funny all the same, think I'll buy myself one of Allens' dvds. :)

  • @karezza1 But this stand up has nothing to do with his personal life (his current wife wasn't even born yet ;)) So I don't know why are you judging this by your opinion of his person? Try to forget who's saying this and just enjoy the show ;) And don't take it so seriously as you did ;)

  • @karezza1 Why would he not, everyone else did. The only person who had a go at Woody was Mia Farrow, who was somewhat younger then her step daughter when she married |Frank Sinatra. (Nancy said, 'It's not very dignified being younger than your mother.)

  • @karezza1 No, he didn't.

  • @karezza1 I suppose you can't gain or learn sense of humor, can you? In that situation, I feel sorry for you. Sense of humour really helps in some hard situations to get through them with a smile on your face. Poor you. I wish you all the best though!

  • @karezza1 Man, i wish i could shoot you! dumb people like you dont deserve to live. You are wasting air.

  • Love the video! Thanks for posting!

  • This is my first time listening to him, and he is pretty funny

  • Your ignorance is nauseating.

  • @karezza1 OMG I know I wish all ugly people would just go away

  • @karezza1 Comedians are rarely normal by any standards. The bigot part I'm not really convinced about. Even in his jokes, I've never heard him talk badly about any race besides his own.

  • @karezza1 Do you hate everyone who eats meat? Even if you, do you're completely ignoring the comedy.

  • @karezza1 So because the joke mentions violence towards animals you immediately reject both the rest of the joke and the comedian. He doesn't even kill the moose, he takes it to a party for fucks sake you ass!

  • One of the greatest bits of all time.

  • this has to be one of the best tellings of a joke ever.woody is a genuis, maybe not so much lately.

  • Like if you're watching this in 2011

  • i love woody allen and this is a really good routine but he never looks comfortable performing it. i could see garry shandling killing it.

  • really do dig this old stuff, makes me wanna go back and annie hall everytime

  • I think the primary reason this guy was considered a comic genius is because marijuana was so readily available and new in the mid 1960s.

  • Abc

  • this is awful

  • terwibble

  • My favourite part is "But I got the Berkowitez' " I like the cd version better though, it was much better paced. This was too slow.

  • "He & and the Berkowitzes lock antlers"

    that line always get's me.

  • No smut...incredibly original.....great delivery....bréf: a case book study of the best of standup!

  • Hehehehehe. God I love this bit. I have the cd, but looked this up for a friend.

  • The bit that cracks me up the most is when he normally says:

The moose starts to mingle... Goes to the buffet table, some guy tries to sell him insurance...

    Cracks me up !

  • Oh god, this is amazing.

  • 61 people have a disney sense of humor.

  • Jesus christ that had so many fucking levels. Brilliant.

  • Moose are huge and dangerous, his story is ridiculous.

  • @sebassucc This is comedy. You know that, right?

  • @ImJustCoolLikeDat101 My comment was meant as a joke. You know that, right?

Also, he's doing a stand-up routine, people who don't know what moose are like might take his story to be true.

  • @sebassucc no shit dumbass

  • Comment removed

  • Anyone else notice he was freaking drunk?

  • @Schmiggs27 Drunk? Maybe you are!

  • not funny

  • 60 people are nazis

  • De-interlace.

  • Arguably the greatest story teller of all time.

  • I just wish that I could write half as good as he has! Woody Allen is a true genius!!!!

  • THe cameraman is working hard to keep up with him XD

  • $billpatmartysloan-woodydoingit35?soundsgayhappy hyp..guy leaves his wife for a china man who has lot$

  • This is my all-time favorite. He's a comic genius.

  • This isn't funny.

Though Allen is still the best.

  • so jerry seinfeld took inspiration from woody allen it seems for his stand ups..the style of delivery is quite similar to what jerry does..

  • @maftiya We all have our heroes/inspiration. Why would Seinfeld be any different?

  • A møøse once bit my sister.

  • Wiener dogs in outer space

  • Once you said you love a film just by showing an view of Manhattan.. how do you like it with no Sun or with two nutS

  • Is it really Eddie Murphy laughs on 2:19 - 2:21 ?

I'm pretty sure that it was his father or he traveled in time to learn how to humor:)

  • @cry2love No way. It was just 4 year old Eddie!

  • @CoolerKing37 Cute laughing for four years old, hopefully if I have children they will laugh the same crazy=)

  • @cry2love haha that does sound like eddie murphy

  • @bitterxreilly Usually I laugh like normal people, but when I can not control myself I'm laughing balls off like Eddie:)

  • How is he a pedophile?

  • Obviously was bullshit ranting from a vicious and vindictive Mia Farrow who tried to destroy his reputation with the worst offence evn greater than real pedophlia. Accuing an innocent person of the crime. Deserved the scorn of the media and the public who never fell for it.

  • So I'm driving with the Burkovizes on my fender, and there's a law in new yoik state. Tuesdays, Thursdays and ... ESPECIALLY Saturdays.

  • holy shit. Woody is very funny. I wish he would stay in Stand up more often.

  • my favorite hypochondriac yankee. ~& we have the same birthday. i 've had lp's of his stand-up material since the mid 60's, & remember making everybody go with me to see "what's up tiger lily?"! what a maniac!!!i love this guy.

  • The moose was furious!

  • fucking genius

  • Oh, excellent! I've never seen much of Woody Allen, but I think I'm gonna find some more from now on.

  • I've been a fan of Woody Allen's work for a long time. I'm only seventeen, but I think he's funny. And he's still alive. I'm not sure if he does stand up anymore, but we can remember the funny comedy bits he did. And all the movies he acted in. Like this if you think Woddy Allen is still funny in two-thousand-eleven.

  • @UndeadLucas Woody Allen is just TRAGIC. How would you describe someone who F*cks their adopted daughter. American society lost itself when it refused to dog out a guy who F*CKS HIS DAUGHTER.

No Standards, no sense of shame. Too politically correct to call Woody Allen out for his unacceptable behaviour. THE START OF THE SLIDE.

Accepting Woody Allen F*CKING HIS DAUGHTER, is the DECLINE OF AMERICAN CIVILISATION.

    NO STANDARDS.

A TOTAL REFUSAL TO TURN YOUR FACE AGAINST CORRUPT PRINCIPLES.

  • @GuyBurgess1234 If he did F**k his adopted daughter. That's his business. People shouldn't worry about that. We're all sick about shit we do. Yes it is sick that he did that to his daughter. We know it's not American, nor is it right. But what can we do?

  • @UndeadLucas You disassociate yourself from the individual concerned. Accepting it is destroying the fabric of society. YOU MUST TURN YOUR FACE AGAINST CORRUPT PRINCIPLES. REJECT THE INDIVIDUAL WHO DISPLAYS SUCH CORRUPT BEHAVIOUR. Or maybe your cool with OJ Simpson, Ken Lay & ENRON, Sarah PALIN, Jersey Shore, Kardashians, etc American society was better before WOODY WAS ALLOWED TO F*CK HIS DAUGHTER AND EVERYONE WAS COOL WITH IT!

How are things now, the housing market ? Unemployment ? Business?

  • YOU MUST TURN YOUR FACE AGAINST CORRUPT PRINCIPLES. REJECT THE INDIVIDUAL WHO DISPLAYS SUCH CORRUPT BEHAVIOUR.

American society has collapsed. Self-Destructed. Why ? Because everyone is cool with everything now. NO STANDARDS OF BEHAVIOUR OR SOCIAL INTERACTION. The Chinese are coming and if America keeps this up, then consider this: HOW WILL AMERICA DEAL WITH 1.3 BILLION CHINESE WHO ARE DISIPLINED AND DETERMINED AND DEDICATED AND DONT WATCH KARDASHIANS(Sic) & JERSEY SHORE(Sic)

  • @UndeadLucas Your society has to reject it. Once your cool with this kind of behaviour your society is treading the same ground as ancient Greece. WHAT HAPPENED TO ANCIENT GREECE BY THE WAY? Last chance to save American, which is now double A credit rating, will take a minimum of 8 years to get back to triple A credit rating, just a fact. DOUBLE DIP? NO, ONE LONG CONTINIOUS RECESSION. It only seems double dip now, just wait. MUST GET BACK TO THE OLD AMERICA, BILL CLINTON ERA and previous to that

  • OH YEAH DIDNT THE OLD AMERICAN SOCIETY LYNCH PEOPLE?

    WOODY SHOULD BE LYNCHED!

If you dont get it, JUST REMEMBER I TRIED TO TELL YOU GUYS.

I DID MY BEST TO GET THE MESSAGE OUT. I cant save your society, only you guys can do that.

I'm just a guy saying: STRAIGHTEN UP & FLY RIGHT. OR I'm your teacher telling you to do your homework or I'm a parent telling you not to associate with scumbags.

PS My country has a triple A credit rating(USA is only double), Unemployment is 5%(USA 9.2), I'm ok

  • @GuyBurgess1234 Please tell me this is actually Woody Allen secretly parodying internet nutjobs.

  • He is one of the all time giants of comedy. I would compare him to Jack Benny or Groucho Marx. Thank God that recordings of these guys exist today!

  • This man is a genius, it is undeniable. The fact that a ten-year-old falling off a skateboard gets more likes than this doesn't mean people don't like him, it means the philistines on YouTube are too stupid to appreciate real comedy. Haters can kiss my Jew ass

  • He has some amazing material.

    Awesome delivery. :3

  • that is how you deliver a joke

  • Woody with all due respects NOT FUNNY!

  • American humour isn't very good.

  • @WardyProductions Good or not, its the humor that eweryone else still is copying.

  • Woody Allen is, honestly, the greatest comedy writer I've ever seen.

The guy was writing material in the 1960s that is still, frankly, the funniest shit I have ever read. I don't think I find any other comedy that old funny, and in my opinion, THAT is genius.

  • just another vulgare jewish clown

  • @whitebrainpower What's that supposed to mean? Go read a book.

  • he was 32 in here, how come he didn't become completely bald, like it is said in oedipus wrecks

  • try this:

Click the 'CC' button across from the play button on the bottom bar,

    then click "transcribe audio"

hit OK, and laugh like hell

  • @wolfeEMT lol a little off

  • @Dougstyles119, I couldn't agree more. Besides his early stand up material, so many of his movies are absolutely fantastic. Recently, Turner Classics had Radio Days and Hannah and Her Sisters back to back. 2 of my all time faves

  • I shot a moose once. Clasical!!!

  • Haha brilliant!

  • Wow, this guy is awful, I can see why most people hate him

  • @TheItsjack

Well look at the video statics, 1,205 likes and 56 dislikes.

I like hes stand up comedy, and don't give a crap about hes personal life.

  • @SlipAllCityToy I wasn't on about personal life, I meant due to his comedy, and 1205 likes in 3 years, not many people like him at all then

  • @TheItsjack

yeh, well look at the ratio, 56 dislikes in 3 years 'aint much also :P

  • @SlipAllCityToy Because its much more likely that the people who don't like him didn't watch it, I myself had never actually seen his stand up, thus watching it

  • @TheItsjack wow, yer awful, I can see why most people hate you...

    ahahaha...

  • i'm not american. Can someone explain the reference to the solomons, the act is brilliant though.

  • @ledattack The Solomons are supposed to be the friends who are in the moose suit whom Woody Allen introduces to the host as they enter.

  • How much did the laugh track cost?

  • The moose is furious!

  • the moose comes in second

    classic

  • Adoro os filmes de Woody Allen. Ele retrata como ninguém as neuroses do mundo contemporâneo. Com um humor fino e irônico. Mundo moderno, mundo complexo e fragmentado. Convido a assistirem a um vídeo-poema sobre a perplexidade do homem contemporâneo, com a poesia “Perplexidade em paz”, imagens de grande força e a música “Sonata ao luar” de Beethoven. Procurar no youtube por: Perplexidade em paz

  • What's a cocktail potty?

  • @havz0r Don't watch it.

  • Pure comedy genius!

  • not very entertaining to me. as a jew myself i thought well maybe but no, i've not yet seen anything woody allen has done that i've enjoyed

  • Timeless Brilliance. Long Live Woody Allen!

  • hahahah fucking insanely good , lmao.

  • im looking for that scene in a woody film where he talks about the afterlife with his parents and his Dad is like. Ill worry about it when Im dead.. lol. What movie is that from ?

  • @sleestack808 I believe, not 100% sure, it's from Hannah and Her Sisters.

  • @sleestack808

hannah and her sisters. a GREAT film.

  • @earinsound got it thanx. here it is NKidJMoO_No

  • Quite amoosing, certainly a moosed hear

  • absolute masterclass

  • @moominpic ??? Confused. I didn't say or insinuate either one of those things.

  • If you like Woody watch Jerry Rio at (Mr JerryRio) and the (Thyrdeye) channel. He reminds a lot of comedy lovers of a Woody Allen or Larry David type character and he is hilarious!

His interviews and "Man On The Street" segments are some of best comedy you will see online anywhere!

  • Buy a goddamn dictionary and look up pedophile, then research the facts about the Woody Allen incident. Idiots. He's not a pedophile, and the 20 year old was not his daughter, and he was NOT a father figure to her. She is 40 now, they are still married ... You think she's stupid? Still a victim? Poor taste? Perhaps. Pedophile or child molester? Hardly. Hope you are not judged with the same harshness you spread lies with.

  • @blueshadababy He never adopted her and was never married to her adopted mother.

  • first time ive heard his stand up, this is hilarious!

  • Are you making a movie soon? I enjoy your videos a lot. Great work. If you see me driving around LA wearing my spaceman costume driving your Add car, selling my movies, know I'm keeping busy, until I get the chance to audition for you and others. If you would like to see my work google my name DENNIS WOODRUFF. Telephone number for auditions 323 848 7164, and 323 309 1282. I'm ready to work when the phone rings!

  • My step-dad used to regale me by repeating this bit . . .

  • Woody is one of the greatest entertainer ever. People pass judgment concerning his personal life but who gives a shit. The guy makes me laff with material from 30 yrs ago.

  • @dougstyles119 Try 45 years man.

  • @NeoTRP Kiss my dick. Did i spell tht right?

  • Was listening to a Sirius Radio comedy station on a road trip - TRYING to find someothing funny. OMG, the stupid potty mouth stuff just NEVER stopped. Thank you Woody Allen and others like you....so much smarter and funnier than most of the crap we are stuck with now......

  • @rocktenniscat I actually heard this routine on one of the Sirius stations. I believe it's 151 LaughUsa or something like that.

  • some people have commented on woody's movements being strange or wishing he'd be still. woody is massively influenced by groucho marx. his movement shows this and is all part of the act. he's a genius with superb comic timing.

  • I knew that moose. He told me it was the longest weekend he ever had in one day.

  • I love Woody Allen but his stand up, from what I've seen of it, is terrible.

Thankfully, he found out where his talent lies a few years later when he started writing and directing films.

  • @dcasey77 Couldn't disagree with you more. I think his stand-up is hysterical. But then, that's art. One man's "terrible" is another man's "genius". When I was over watching Andy Kaufman's work and reading all his fans say "genius" I just had to shake my head.

  • @BeirutWedding Andy kaufman..read his life story, watch man in the moon (if you can stand jim carey, he's likemarmite, much like kaufman i guess)

Anyway, give Kaufman some time..because his story is one of true humor and performance, much like LennyBruce and Bill Hicks..a consumate.

  • this is not even funny

  • I worked for many years as a comedy writer and I can tell you that this bit is one of the many that inspired me. I memorized it when I was young. (Spoiler alert:) Sadly, he left out one of the funniest lines. Towards the end when he mentions that he's driving with two Jewish people on his fender and there's a law in New York state, he neglects to add, "Tuesdays, Thursdays and ESPECIALLY Saturdays.

  • pathetic
