However in some states (especially lower 50) they get paid shit for putting their lives on the line. 30-35k starting pay and 40-45k once out of probation if you're lucky is not a whole lot per the job requirements. I know in many of the northern states, despite cut backs in recent years, they have been paid too much in some cases. So it's give or take.

However in some states (especially lower 50) they get paid shit for putting their lives on the line. 30-35k starting pay and 40-45k once out of probation if you're lucky is not a whole lot per the job requirements. I know in many of the northern states, despite cut backs in recent years, they have been paid too much in some cases. So it's give or take.

I think the best action to take in a situation like this is for a few designated people to talk calmly to the police while everyone else stands and watches , when the police show up , if they feel like they are being moved in on then you will not get the response you want. Also if everyone stays calm the police have a much harder time being assholes. Use group psychology,

One day it will have road blocks manned by the ARMY all over the land.
Having a pass(id) that is issued by the Govt' to control movement and then people will just start to disappear like a "BANANA REPUBLIC" that the US controlled(do not be shocked when it happens).

wow, whomever shot this did a great f'g job! I say be nice to the cops. let their abuses stand on their own, dont taunt them, but smile and be pleasant. dont give them any reason to arrest you. that will make their abuse, whatever amount there is, that much more prominent -most cops are probably just trying to get through the day and it must be stressful for them too.

Satyagraha(non violent protest) uses nonviolent resistance to make one's opponent face up to the fact of injustice or exploitation. However, while satyagrahis use various nonviolent methods to confront or persuade an opponent - methods like sit-downs and sit-ins, strikes, fasts, demonstrations, BOYCOTTS!!!!, picketing and non-cooperation (all of which Gandhi used) - they should also be doing constructive work to improve the situation. (this point is very important)
