@BobandSlawd you forgot how to keep size constraints if you want to keep the size for printing like 5x7, 4x6, 8x10 etc. There is more to it then just clicking and dragging.
hello, i have a problem with illustrator, i cropped an image in photoshop and then i imported it in illustrator, but i added some other layers afterward in illustrator. the problem is that when i save it as jpeg from illustrator, it only saves the cropped image, only the area that has been imported. how can i solve this?
do you know if theres some way to view a full image that someone cropped and sent to you? this girl sent me a pic of her body without her head and i'm pretty sure she cropped her head out of the pic but is there a way to get some code or something to view the full image? i guess the original pic before she cropped it.

I ask that, because each time I tried to help someone in the past, I often ended up with some teenager who just didn't have the will and determination to do it the proper way. First of all what kind of current site traffic are we talking about right now? You need at least a few thousand visitors daily to make any impact.
The reason why your crop tutorial is bad for traffic, is because it's about basic Photoshopping. Large Photoshop or graphics sites or blogs (or sites like Digg, Stumbleupon) will never feel the urge to mention your tutorial, because it only covers the bascis, it has no "wow!" factor. Make a tutorial that for example turns a face into stone, do some proper promotions and see the traffic pouring in. Of course, the quality of the tutorial and the end result needs to be excellent!
Also understand your viewers, most of them are just young teenagers who downloaded an illegal copy of Photoshop and most of them hate to learn the basics. Show them how to do make-over or how to use layer masks and the majority pick the make-over tutorial. This group of people is "project" focused. Next time it's Christmas and then they go browsing again for Christmas tutorials, they never stop doing project based tutorials.

So many words also helps to increase your site ranking, if I have a tutorial called "Stone Face" I would manage to get it in #1 place in Google, that makes a huge difference in traffic!

Alright crop in 5 seconds
step 1: Select the rectangular marquee tool (the rectangle thing at the top)
step 2: Drag it over the part you want to crop.
step 3: Go to image and then select crop.
Simple as that
