George probably plays ibanez more than any other guitar. He just uses others to record. The tone of that Gibson isnt great. Action too low for Georges big 'ol thumb.
This video is really top because i try the solo guitar it makes me like crazy i can't , so, i 'd like to meet George Benson face to face like a miracle
I have listened to and admired this great man for many years. Listening to this make me feel like I have just discovered him again. FANTASTIC. If only I could. I have had many comments about my playing but if only they heard what inspires me!
You can heard this song in the album "absolute benson" Sunscream1;
And Jacopoj,Bireli is not only a "jazz manouche" guitarist!!listen what he did with jaco pastorius or even his last album "electric side" , he come from manouche style but he have a lot a different influence like george benson or wes montgomery, Slesspygypsy is right.
Can someone tell me of a lovelier melody? Far out! Stevie should get a Nobel Prize ( just to start everyday ...alongside his breakfast)...and for George..well no word or thing I can come up with comes anywhere within lighyears of describing this mans musicality ...Orpheus?

I meant: Does anyone know the chords he is talking about?
mattdre88 2 years ago
Does anyone know those "nice changes" he refers to?
mattdre88 2 years ago
changes are slang for chords. just learned that this week.
NORRATHBEAST 2 years ago
jeah but that sucks because its incorrect...
CHANGES are the CHANGES between the chords :D
its about how the chords stand to each other
(Functions like tonica, dominant or unfunctional chords)
BSTimmeh 2 years ago
@NORRATHBEAST not slang for chords: proper terms are "chord changes". a chord is nothing by itself, the sequence only matters
swingmanu 1 year ago
@swingmanu well 'changes' is a street musicians term in america for chord sequences. It just an abbreviation thats all.
