the kid wasn't compliant with the officer simple command of giving him his drivers license or proof of insurance. He told his passenger "No" in giving what the officer was demanding. The officer than ask the kid to step out of the vehicle. For officer safety, he was going to probably going to search the kid, the kid also put his right hand up and made it look like he was going to resist the officer. I believe the officer used reasonable force and your an idiot.

Every officer I know who's seen this video thinks the officer owes an apology to this 32yr old man (including officers who spoke publicly from the Austin Police Union). The police chief didn't make the officer apologize, she did suspend him for 3 days. The officer tased the man a full 3 seconds after the man put his arm down - the man raised his arm so the door would not hit him AGAIN after the officer tried to close the door (I'm not implying that the officer tried to slam him with the door).

I agree totally with your comments! They won't show vids like this on COPS! I've had them do the same thing to me... One pulled me over, thinking that I had been drinking... he pulled me over after I left the VFW at 1 a.m. Told me BEFORE he made me take a breath test, that I was swerving "BigTime". Talked to me like a dog. When he realized that I hadn't had a drop, he changed his tune! I talk to the county sheriff the next day! The fat slob got busted down for that one!

At least, these days, we are all getting a taste of police brutality... no longer just for the minorities or gays.
Maybe now with white ass getting beat, we'll finally stand up and make a change to the all-powerful cops that use the law as a weapon, not a shield.
The nightstick, mace, taser, gun... all to whoop ass with. What's the good in having those nifty toys if they never get to whoop up on someone?
I don't want to get tased, but it'll happen when I don't say "Yes sir" fast enough.

yea i agree the cop provoked the whole thing, and the taser was totally not necessary.
