Well, as most people know, females of any species can be sweet one minute, and turn on you like a vicious man eating tiger the next!! Come on.....I'm just kidding!!!! Really I'm willing to wager that when you get all the details, the broken ankle was either a silly mistake, OR caused by human error. Horses are only human/I mean animals, and can be frightened or make a wrong move. Seems premature to class her as a dangerous animal. Good job exposing.

My wife and I have had a vet clinic for many years. I've only heard of 1 horse before that had to be euthanized because it was dangerous, and in that case it was dangerous! If you walked into the pen with it, it would have killed you. I truly doubt this videos accuracy because NO competent veterinarian would euthanize a horse unless it was for VERY good reason.

But that is a good point you bring up. What vet would put down a horse without legitimate proof the horse was dangerous? A corrupt one probably.

I had Thoroughbred mare that I sold to a woman who wanted to train her for dressage.I told her that she would never make a trail horse.So what did she do? Tried to make her a trail horse. She did great for a year then she reared over backwards! The woman hurt her back so she put the horse down. She didn't even give me a chance to buy her back! Every horse makes mistakes...But they dont get put down, it was just bad luck the rider broke their ankle, the rider chose to ride Maggie, the bond between horse and owner should be so strong that if Maggie goes down, the rider does too, (Not obviously be euthinized too) but fight for something that wasnt just her fault. R.I.P Maggie...At least some people know the truth :)

Euthanasia for "behavior" always tells a story about a horse's handlers. It says that they are ignorant, lacking any true understanding of a horse and how maleable they truly are. Horses reflect what they experience. Give them a better experience and they will reflect that. Over fifty years I've taken in many, many "dangerous" horses and everyone of them recovered from their previous bad handling. Conscious awareness of what goes on in them and them AND us is the cure to this stuff.

From the pictures she looks absolutely fine. She was not biting anything or anybody. Her ears her relaxed, she's absolutely tiny and she looks friendly and huggable.

I'm not saying she isn't possibly aggressive, as I've never been around her breed, but I don't see how this particular video proves that she's 'DANGEROUS!'.

I am so sorry, Ive had a lot of horses and theres ALWAYS that one that will touch you the most. Ginger was mine, a buckskin Quarter Horse Mare. We trailered her over to a friends house for their daughter to use n of course the daughter fell in love with her. And she gets watever she wants so we "sold" her there. Very sad. My friend took in pony that had been beaten round the head with a brick for throwing its rider. This pony was 2yrs green broken and was purchased by the parents of a 6yr old girl as birthday present without knowing anything about horses. So a total family of beginner s a very young rider with no lessons and a young reshly broken pony.

Thats soooooo sad!! I volunteered at a rescue for a year and a half, they only rode and interacted with horses a year prior to starting the rescue, and they wouldn't listen to any1 because they had a huge ego. Basically, Maggie broke someone's ankle by accident & the rescue didn't get the right story about the incident. They just assumed she was dangerous/unpredictable. They did not evaluate her, put her back up for adoption, or give her another chance, they just euthanized her. *She was too dangerous

*The rescue needed more space

*She was "unpredictable" like every other horse in this world.

its really long lol, but basically, Maggie the chincoteague pony in the video, got adopted from, what I thought was a good rescue. But Maggie's owner fell off and maggie stepped on and broke her ankle by accident of course. the pony wasn't aiming to break her ankle. Afterwards the owner's broken ankle triggered a genetic back disorder...and according to the rescue's contract if the owner cannot take care of the horse, the horse needs to be returned to the rescue directly. So.......

The owner returned Maggie hoping she'd find a good home...the rescue labeled Maggie as dangerous for breaking an ankle and since Maggie was once a wild horse, they assumed she was soooo incredibly dangerous. Even though the pony did NOTHING to support the fact she was "dangerous". So they euthanized her. They didn't tell anybody she was gonna die, they didn't put her back up for adoption... they said she was too much of a liability... Therefore the pony, Maggie died at age 10. There ya go lol

Maggie & her owner were out jumping & the rider fell off & Maggie accidentally stepped on & broke her ankle. Then later the broken ankle triggered her to have a genetic back disorder.
