ever wonder why the national debt is increasing but we have taxes in place to lower the debt?
ever wonder why we have inflation? mainly because the tax money that we pay is suppose to be used to pay the national debt but ends up in being spent on some war like the one we are in right now.
Now lets go back to the fed. who owns the fed? to this day, I can't find out who owns the fed and I know for sure its not our government. I know it's a company that lends monies (on interest) to the U.S govt.

Um...the fed was created by the Federal Reserve Act of 1913. Other important laws include the Banking Act of 1935, and the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008. All of these laws were passed by the government of the United States. I think the U.S. owns the Fed.
Furthermore, the Fed is controlled by a Board of Governors, who are all appointed by the president and confirmed by the Senate.
Now, I'll grant you that the Fed is much more independent than the average government organization, so much so that it's said to be "independent within the government."
With regards to independence, the Fed generates revenue independently without need for Congressional funding, and the stocks of the regional federal reserve banks are owned by the banks operating within that region and which are part of the system. And I'm sure that business tycoons have some degree of influence.
But still, the Fed derives its authority from the U.S. government, and the U.S. can get rid of the Fed at any time.
