No, the descendants of the Pharahs didn't get extinct but they are definitely NOT in Egypt today, but was forced into EXILE in the South of Nubia and some went WEST to get away from the YOKE of Asiatics from the EAST and later from the yoke Mediterraneans from the North and that is why only 10% of the descendants of Egyptians are left in Egypt, and they are called the Copts but the other 90% that dwell amongst them are ARAB FOREIGNERS.

@raidio1 My understanding is that Samtik I (Psammetichus I) stabilized and unified Egypt. He was under control of the Assyrians for a period, but as their influence waned, he took absolute control and brought back stability to Egypt, including a number of building projects. I've never seen documentation that 240,000 Egyptian soldiers defected to Ethiopia under his rule. Do you have a source?

By the way, do you ever get feedback from modern Egyptians themselves? They don't believe their ancestors were "black." Do they have a misguided belief about who they are? Civilization began in Mesopotamia, Phoenicia, Sumeria, and the Indus Valley. Followed soon thereafter by Egypt, then China and Greece. It also arrived independently in the Americas some time later. Pick up any peer-reviewed history book, and the documentation of civilizational beginnings does not mention Ethiopia.

@raidio1 Ethiopian civilization started around the 8th century BC with the D'mt Kingdom in northern Ethiopia. Most modern historians consider this civilization to be a native African one, although Sabaean-influenced because of the latter's hegemony of the Red Sea. Others view D'mt as the result of a mixture of Sabaeans of southern Arabia and indigenous peoples. So Ethiopia got kick started with Arab help, and was nowhere near as ancient as the Caucasoid civilizations of the Fertile Crescent.

@raidio1 Pre-Dynastic influence coming from the North is a much stronger idea than Ta-Seti Kingdom developing "in situ." Because the gathering forces of civilization were coming from the North--not sub-Saharan Africa below. In fact, civilization has never independently taken hold in Eastern sub-Saharan Africa. (Or for that matter, any part of black Africa except for Mali, etc). That's not a knock. Their cultural spread was not civilizationally predisposed yet. Neither were the Mongols.

Their fair-skinned races developed on the North-facing portion of the African continent. @raidio1 How do you know what the original Egyptian skin color was? Or that the original Libyans were black? The more populated portions of Libya were closer to Italy and Greece, than they were to any dense sub-Saharan black population. Again, no one is saying that Libyans, Egyptians, etc were WHITE in the phenotypical sense of Magnus Magnussen of Iceland. But they are classified as Caucasoid peoples. I agree there is a continuum from white to black, like there is from white to Asiatic.
