  • Lauten Torch ST-221. In my opinion ,the ideal item to easily apply the XY mic technique.

  • @TheShadow1975100 Thanks, the great thing is that when you try different caps, you can get very different sounds, as we did here. The XY technique is certainly a very reliable and simple way to go... the near/far approach does give you a lot of room sound control later, "in the mix" since you can vary the difference of the near and far mics to decide how much of each you want- that's a pretty cool approach as well.

  • I'm not even subscribed to you but this still came up on my sub box thing?

  • @Adamshredsify I have no idea why... we certainly aren't doing anything different than we always do with this video- hope it was reasonably enjoyable!

  • @soundpurestudios haha i still liked it, i'm very interested in music production and recording etc :)

  • @Adamshredsify Cool- well, let us know if there is anything that we can do to help with your recording pursuits!

  • It's me or we can hear natural reverb ?

I love XY mic Technique, sounds pretty awesome.

  • @TOTOsupra Absolutely... the purpose of the video was to display the different room sounds (reverbs) achievable by utilizing different positioning and microphone technique, as well as switching out through the included capsules with these gorgeous Lauten Torch mics.

  • i love the sound using the XY mic technique. i'm not too clued up on the different techniques but to me it just sounded like there was much more trumpet presence whilst still including the room, whereas the ab spaced felt more like it picked up the room moreso then the direct sound coming from the trumpet itself

  • This was in the subscription thing on my homepage, i never subscribed!

    Thumbs up

  • @LifeIsDrifting No problem! Thanks for checking us out- we have tons of great videos coming down the pipeline.

  • @soundpurestudios I checked your stuff anyways and they're pretty good

  • @LifeIsDrifting Well, hopefully, they will get better and better. Glad you liked the vid on the Lauten Torch microphones on classical trumpet!
