@UrbanRedBull He jumped out of the tackle. Had Ojo made contact with Williams it would have been a penalty for London Irish. However, the fact that Shane dodged the contact meant it was a superb piece of individual skill!
I was there that night I couldn't believe what I had just witnessed, from memory I remember him jumping much higher? I must have been confused with all the adrenaline lol
Every1 who has seen him play live knows he can turn nothing into something and if he has made a shit decision some how he turns it into something special ........ Only Shane Williams :))
@closertofiftythanyew i think the rule is that it's illegal to jump into a tackle because it's pretty dangerous, not to hurdle as such - but what's the difference, at that speed anything can happen. but the knock on was given here in any case, not a penalty.
Rob Burrow or Shane Williams?

Not taking anything away from his brilliance, but wouldnt that be considered 'jumping into the tackle', therefore a penalty to the opposition?

@UrbanRedBull should be mate. i thought the same.

micjozz 1 month ago
@micjozz 5.9 is quite short for a rugby player and he is probably the shortest player on the ospreys team so ye :)
mattjeffreys101 1 month ago
@mattjeffreys101 i agree with you..for the average international rugby player he is short..most of the guys are from 6.2 and more..

@mattjeffreys101 international rugby is sooo competitive

Offence was the knock on, not the hurdle. Sky have rubbish commentators who haven't got a clue.

You can't jump into a tackle, I'm not sure there's a rule against jumping OVER tackles...
schnozz87 8 months ago 2
@schnozz87 Yes there is, it's still technically jumping into a tackle even if it's missed.
Yankman08 6 months ago

@diiirtygoal he didn't get tackled did he. But no, you are right. You are not allowed to jump into tackles.

Taught Ojo a lesson in fine wing-play.
That's so original, so creative. Nobody in rugby would ever have thought of leaping over Ojo in that situation.

American footie don't mind a bit of hurdling too. Why is it in wrong in rugger - baffles me, strange rule.
Must have been made up by a fat ex-prop administrator in the distant past.
