  • no air-bag?damn...

  • thank you for improving my anti sway bar...that dang thing keeps me up at nights..haha lol

  • LEAD is dead, go with lithium

  • @jstack6 We offer a lithium pack as well. Just under $26,000. We can build you one right away.

  • @ItsJimJam

stan mayer showed his invention in the 80's, he was invited by the u.s, government to show his HHO invention but after he attended that invitation he was found did of food poisoning. Even the u.s govenment has afraid too lose money from the giant petroleum company. Do your math, that electric car invention not even compare to the HHO car because the fraction of money you would spend of paying electric bill compare to ocean water which is free of charge!

  • @ItsJimJam 17

try to look for your self in the philippines, how daniel dingel run his car with 100% water only. The philippines government doesn't support his invention because they are afraid to lose millions of dollars taxes payment coming from the big petroleum company in the philippines. Daniel dingel perfected the HHO car since 1970's he was the first guy in the world who had run his car in HHO power car.Guess what Stan mayer was killed by the u.s government because of his HHO invention

  • I would rather buy the water conversion of daniel dingil because its more power than electric conversion & the water is accessible any where you go, you could even use ocean water without buying it!

  • @filipinofighter1 Cars can't run on water. Daniel Dingel is a fraudster. I hope you are joking.

  • I'm not in the market for 1 yet, but thank you for the offer. What's the range/ charge

and performance, ie: top speed and accel. if you get a minute. Thank you

  • @chonesong With the lead acid pack the range is 30 to 50 miles. If fully discharged, the recharge time is 6-1/2 hours. Top speed is 90 MPH and 0-60 takes 15 seconds. With the lithium pack you get a different set of specs.

  • @ev4ucustomconversion RE: "With the lead..." Wow, that was a fast reply ! It's so nice when replies

are quick ! OK for the info and I'll stay tuned and keep in touch ! The faster we enable electric

vehicles, & solar, and wind energy, the better.

  • I see some people are complaining about the price. At least they have a choice. In the UK it is almost impossible to find this type of conversion.

  • @Aydosh1991 Quality and cheap are never one and the same. As a company we have chosen to be the best possible, not the cheapest. As consumers, people need to decide weather they want the best or the cheapest. Thank you for watching our video and for your comments.

  • Do you think that Circuit Breaker (1:52 of video) a bit unsafe?

Full Voltage in the passenger compartment... easy to reach and touch too...

  • The Circuit Breaker has three functions; one is the normal circuit breaker function, second as a service disconnect, third as an emergency disconnect. It is housed in an high impact ABS housing/mount. The cables are welding cable, which in its normal life is drug around shop floors, ship decks, trucks, trailers, and is not in the least bit fragile. In our production vehicles it is run in conduit, but as this is a display/marketing vehicle we left it exposed. Thank you for watching & comments.

  • I bet the newer flexible PV panels would make a nice addition for a Type II build? But 19k and no rubber boots on the electrical connections ouch.

  • @obiewancoyote The Beetle in the video is a marketing vehicle, and as such does not feature some items. On production conversions, there are no unshielded or uncovered electrical connections or components. Aesthetics was the main factor on this vehicle. Wide tires are not a good choice either, but we used them on the Bug because it fit the look we were going for. Thank you for watching and commenting on our video.

  • anotehr factor we have to deal with is,,,rechargable battery like this consume bigger space and is very heavy...something that gives load incease that affect the performance of the motor and battery itself...it is the fact that given an attention by expert

  • I really like, but $19k? Too much and can't imagine how many year for the payback. Great looking bug though. I've always had a liking towards bugs. I once had a 68.

  • Thank you for your comments. You got my thinking, we all run the numbers trying to calculate the break even, pay back time. Have you ever calculated the cost per mile to operate the car you drive now? You know, cost of purchase, license, insurance, fuel, maintenance, etc.The IRS allowes you to deduct 50 cents per mile for business use, based on an annual study of fixed and variable cost to operate an automobile. Bottom line, less than 3 cents per mile for electricity, and the Bug is cool.

  • could you make a video of it running? you got me curious

  • @dindinz666 Way ahead of you. Visit EV4U Custom Conversions YouTube Channel and check out two videos, over 17 minutes of cruising in the Bug. It climbs a 6% grade with ease and gives you a back seat view of of the road. The videos are titled "Electric VW Beetle out for a drive", and "Electric VW Beetle climbs a 6% grade with ease." Thanks for watching.

  • did you try any other cars besides the vw?......how bout a VW thing?or a mini cooper?or a Honda.......wow a lot more converted VWs on here.

  • @jeepers2655 We do many others. The VW Beetle just happens to be our marketing vehicle. Mazda Miata's make a great conversion, as do the Porsche 914.

  • Electrical energy can be moved to make such a car is an excellent event.

What is the maximum speed the car can do? Max is the way how many miles? This is the car used in the electric motor, designed for carsDid he? With direct currentDid he electric motor works? An allowance or credit for such applications in your country have? Does it give you money in the state for this issue?

    Your work is very beautiful.

  • cool thanks ,for the reply cool car,

  • do you have heat in the winter? demist? and if so what happends in a snow storm,do the wipers and heat reduce your driveing bye half, surely not safe ? dont mean to spoil your electric car but safty issues ,ie useing the lights at night ,and bad weather?kids in the car on the side off highway with no power,

  • @175yam1 Heat is available in the winter and AC in the summer. Climate control typically reduces range by approximately 10%. Lights, wipers, and other 12 volt accessories run off a separate 12 volt system (just like a gasoline powered car). The 12 volt aux. battery is charged using a DC to DC converter. Just as the alternator does on a gas powered car.

  • How far can this go on a single charge ?? I know there's alot of variables to consider, so I'll say flat lands in regular city traffic with no accessories on. Also at 55mph on the highway how far can it go on one charge??

  • @Aceshigh00 You're right, there are a lot of variables. The range of the Beetle with a lead acid battery pack is 30 to 50 miles, depending on terrain, temperature, and driver.

  • great finished job .... a slap in the face to the to the so called over priced gas industry but as you can tell here goes the battery prices getting so out of hand now they think they will be the one's to control the world with their so called new over priced for garbage battery's that have only 2 year warranty's...

  • Nice Work, But it seems like a lot of money for an old and heavy vehicle!...

Classy look to it!... Don't get me wrong the Beetle is a classic and worth having if it is cost effective, and with a ev conversion it will be now....

  • @thecrism1 Indeed the Beetles are classics. The big negative to the original Beetles was that they were a high maintenance vehicle. Valves to adjust, frequent oil changes, points, brakes that were not self adjusting. The electric conversion requires very little maintenance, thus it increases the joy of ownership of a true classic. The converted version of the Bug is still under the GVW, and brakes, handles and rides better than stock. The Beetles are truly timeless.

  • Do you sell the entire kit? I would be very glad to buy the project DIY.

  • @marcelosamonte We provide the complete conversion, but do not offer it in kit form at this time.

  • nice job, also a very nice looking bug..

  • What is the website address?

  • @evric2008 Google EV4U Custom Conversions and it will take you the site.
