  • Is that a boner bill in the background I see?

  • Thanks. Now I don't have to spend $30 for one at the wizarding world of hp. It's really cool there but really? $30?! Thanks again

  • Where do you buy a dowel?

  • @kodykoko please tell me what specific brand of clay you used for the vid. From name to color to hardness, etc. !!!!!!!!! :)

  • I made one my wand and i wanted to get a reward free wand on Alvian store and guy your wand i fckin awsome.

  • Very nice !! what did you use for the handle?

  • @maximusx3 The curved bit is the handle so I would cover is with clay

  • @Jazzgal63 That's what I did and those wands are awesome

  • I'm gonna make one this weekend and I was wondering what is the thickness of the dowel you used yo make the wand?? I really liked that thickness so if you can let me know sometime tomorrow or early Sunday that would be awesome :)

  • Just go on the Internet and buy the wands I got Hermiones an Harrys

  • @Jazzgal63 thats not the point! this is your chance to be creative and make something with your own two hands. you can't say that about your replica wands.

and also this way is fairly cheap, so even people on a budget can still make wands like the characters, or their own creations!

  • @Jazzgal63 what site is it?

  • If we only have oven toaster, how are we suppose to bake it when it doesn't even fit? :(

Can we dry it up under the sun's heat? Is this possible?

  • @kimacenas13 I don't think the sun works because the way it works is that it bakes to a certain temperature to pretty much activate it so that when it hardens, it stays hard.

the temperature outside in the sun probably wouldn't be hot enough.

maybe go over to a friends house with the idea and the materials and use their oven? :)

  • @kodykoko Even my friends don't have an oven big enough for the wands :( What oven do you use?

  • What kind of clay did he use ? (:

  • @itsteeuson its an oven bake clay called sculpey. you can find it at craft stores or even walmart

  • Amazing! I'm making myself a bellatrix wand asap. Hers has a bend in the middle, do you think I'll still be able to bake the dowel if I cut it and glue it together on an angle? Or would it be better to stick it together with glue then cover that bit with clay?

  • that's awsome!!!!!

  • awsome job i loved how mine came out and u shud subscribe

  • Do u have an email i can send u my wand pix

  • This is awesome - but how would you make a curved wand (I'm aiming for a Bellatrix like one)

  • Is it possible to make a clay cast of Harry's wand from the movies, and to slightly enlarge the cast

  • Nice designs, mate !

  • u sniffing coke there mate lol

  • its weird coz I use this technique aswell but with Air-Dry Clay !

  • Just did mine and u lovee it thank youuuu! :)

  • Best wand ever! U r awesome! Thx a lot I can make my own wand now! :) I am going to try it out now.

  • bro that is the best wand wand ever

  • Yes! A lady gaga fan! (little monster)

  • @nicoloreto PUT YOUR PAWS UP

  • I have handmade about 25 characters, check em out when you can!

  • That's so cool! I'm totally making one! One question, what kind of clay is that?

  • two questions did u put the wooden dowel in the oven because people say if the wood burns it produces carbon monoxide that will kill you so I wanna know because I want to do this tutorial so much, but I don't want to die!!!! thxs :)

  • @doomsdayfactory2012 nooo, I don't think it's a problem. The reason you do it at such a low temperature is so that the wood doesn't burn or get ruined. It should be fine. I've been doing it for like 5 years and I am just fine. Just make sure to heat the oven to the correct temperature!

  • @kodykoko thxs and what brand of oven clay did u use in this tutorial??? thxs awesome wand!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @doomsdayfactory2012 I did this twice and I have had perfect baking both times. The wood's intact, and the clay didn't brown. It's perfectly safe.

  • @blackmagic829 oh thx :D

  • I love your pop art shirt :D

  • I love it! So gonna try this x3 Love how you said "Now you can make wands and fight Lord Voldemort"... xD OSSUM SAUCE >.<

  • can i just use air drying clay?

  • @theghost10077 I have never used them, but I guess maybe you could? The reason I use the oven bake clay is because it hardens as it bakes and then when you take it out it hardens even more, so that you don't ever have a problem with it braking or anything. Unless you are reckless with it, then it might break and stuff. But I don't know. Try it out and let me know how it goes?

  • @kodykoko ok thanks i try it but it broke with the air-dry clay:( next time i am going to try it with oven bake clay

  • Could you use air drying clay and just leave it to dry?

  • he's adorable :)

  • it is great thanks

  • i didnt mean to set an example that all southern ppl are like me i didnt intend that its how i was raised i liked the tut though you have your beliefs and i have mine the envirement i was raised in frowned upon gays and so do i but that doesent me i dont like u as a person i just dont agree with ur beliefsand see just because my names southern pride doesent mean im a nonintellegent redneck

  • were do u get the sticks

  • your cool XD

  • dude cool idea!! :)

  • awesome man i like the handle of your wand how long did it take to make one?

  • what is that stuff to cook? Is it playdough, clay? what type ish it?

  • @AmiAmAm1 He tells you in the description, it's Sculpey, oven-bake clay.

  • Truthfully i LOVE that wand you made and i cant wait to make my own !!!!!!!!!

  • Sub me

  • wow, that southern pride guy was really..-_-.. and by the way, i don't think it's that obvious, to be honest. but it's not like it should matter, either way. -_- i liked your video. i saw this technique before, but i still think it's cool; you don't have to do all that wood stuff.. you can just sort of fake it this way. i'm a bit of an artist so i have some visual sense, if i'm allowed to say that.. xD i think this would look cool if you were to distress it by smearing a little black paint on it

  • Thank you sooooo much! I just finished my own wand! you have the best tut. on youtube!

  • is that polymer clay or regular clay?

  • how long does it need 2 pre heat and how long does it take 2 cool

  • @TheMrsoccerstar3 depends on your oven how long it takes to preheat. if you don't know i'd give it like 10 minutes. and then when it is cooling just wait until it is cool to the touch. you will have to probably pry it off the pan or whatever you use because the clay will have formed to it slightly and there will be a dent where it was, but it isn't extremely noticeable.

  • I tried this, it works great. I'm making a bellatrix wand right now :)

  • Now I'm thinking about making a homemade wand

  • press 8 alot funny

ps great video i made a great wand

  • @96southernpride96 your just like every other person in the the south. Ignorant people who love to judge everyone else who is different. Believe me I know I live here. I gotta get the fuck out this country.

Btw dude on video your pretty awesome and thanks

  • @javierpopable not all southern people are bad s some of us are very good we try to fit in as much as we can i respect all people as an equel but i know how yall feel becuz u feel we all dont accept u u just unfortuneitly got a bad sample here i live here and im still rejected but alot of us are good people he is not are greatest southern pride tht u will find anywhere else but alot people think were just a couple of hillbillys down here were civalized people

  • @Sockyoursock77 it might just be where i live then sorry and yes i have seen some decent people

  • you sound like alvin at 5:27

  • dont make your vidieos to long

  • fag, good tut though

  • @96SouthernPride96

so I am going to assume since your name is 96southerpride96 you actually have no tact and or idea what it means to exist among those you do not see as "equal" to your OBVIOUSLY superior being. I am just gonna throw this out there, but how about instead of insulting me by calling me something that I obviously am, and do not need brought to my attention, by you or anyone else, you go ahead and fuck yourself. ok? ok, great!

also if your gonna be a prick dont compliment me after

  • @kodykoko wow your kind really is touchy and im sorry if i affend you buts its how i was raised but yet still u made a good tut and i dont think i will go fuck myself i have girls to do that for me the way god intended it satins spawn!

  • @96SouthernPride96 oh wow. here we go. so first off. my "kind"? I am not a part of a tribe, or something this is not a pack of wolves or something, it isn't a "thing" because it is something that can't be changed, like the color of someones hair. ugly readheaded parents birth ugly redheads, not their fault their parents are ugly.

also apologize for offending me but thats okay because you were raised that way. your parents raised you to be rude. quality human beings. so intriguing, tell me more

  • @kodykoko

wow. that guy is a real faggot. i guess he has southern pride. nice video

  • im confused on how to bake it. can you please explain again. on a flat surface or what?

  • @96SouthernPride96 Yeah you tell him.

  • this is an amazing tutorial

  • you should sell these!(:

  • cool

  • woahhhh your hot and you love potter......subscribeeee

  • i sent a video of the wands hope you get them

  • My first wand looks horrible...but it actually firs togeher to make something. I used a paintbrush for it.....but it's hard to anyway. I don't think I have the right tools to do it with.

  • i love the wand you made it i want to make a wand kind of like herminey's because its so cuite how the vines clime up the wand so im making my now!

  • This is by far the best make-your-own wand video I have ever seen. It looks like a real wand! It certainly looks like a solid wood wand that is made with a lathe, yet it's much easier to do (and less time-consuming). Very good video. Keep up the good work!

  • How did you make the designs. I've been wondering that and trying to figure it out.

  • @sonikiliky just carve them out into the clay with your hands or different tools or whatever you want to use

  • this wand is sick

  • where can u get dowels

  • @jonathanreilly1000 i go to home depot to get my dowels

  • What's with him and saying "what not"????

  • WILL YOU ALL SHUT THE HELL UP ABOUT WATCHHARRYPOTTER. US!!

  • if you dont have a stick just go to a chinese food place and get your self some Chopsticks :) thats what i did

  • You're so cute. :)

  • I thought he was gonna hex me near the end :O

  • this video is awesome. i'm going to make my own wand tomorrow before the DH part II premiere!

  • It's so distracting when the person in the video is hot.

  • Awsome job, I'm going to do this to make my own wand before I go see the Deathly Hallows part 2.

  • Awesome! I wish I had baking clay :(

  • UPDATE:

Just so everyone knows, there is a list of supplies under the video. click "SHOW MORE" to find out what exactly you will need.

I will update it as well to say where most commonly you can get all of these things!

    THANK YOU FOR WATCHING <3

  • hey! the tutorial is fabulous! But for people to find the ingredients-- I just looked on the Michael's craft store website for 'sculpy' and there wasn't any. So I looked up 'oven baked clay' and it's actually spelled 'sculpey'

I just thought I'd let you know just in case!!! :D Or if you didn't realize before!

  • @penguinrainbowz thanks for that! I didn't realize in the details i spelled it wrong! thanks for the update. I updated that and more for everyone who sees this in the future!

  • great idea with the clay! Ive been looking for a more realistic way than the paper wand method that everyones been making videos about... is there anything else you can use to give it a shine?

  • @ailbhe9714 thank you! I am glad you enjoyed it and it worked! when I first started doing it it was because the only ones out there were the paper ones and me and my best friend thought it was lame and found the oven bake clay and decided to try it out!

you could use really any kind of clear coat or gloss you want. go to your craft store and maybe ask what might work best for woods. try new stuff! it can't hurt :)

  • I sanded down my own stick from a tree and I am trying the clay tonight. Thank you for this video....it made my dream of making a wand so much easier. I am very sad you are gay though...you are definitely the cutest guy I have ever seen...sorry if that is too much information but it is true....

  • @Cristalynben aw, sorry to dissapoint you :P

but thanks for watching and I am glad it was helpful!

  • If it doesn't work for baking, use an air dry clay...works just as good :)

  • Spotlight :) I'm from Australia too

  • dude thanks!! so what would happened if i dropped it?

  • @ThyBuddha I have dropped mine before. Usually they survive just fine. If you drop it really hard or throw it you might have a problem! but they are pretty sturdy! treat it like any wizard would. It is your livelihood!

  • @kodykoko wow because ive been buying some over ebay and half of them broke during shipment. I really like your vid hope you post more about these, just for the record im a harry potter fan :) thanks!

  • @ThyBuddha I know the ones form noble collection that you can buy can be broken easier because they are made of resin and aren't really to be handled like a usual wand would :P

but the clay is pretty damn sturdy if you bake it right and the wood is usually a sturdy wood (depending on what kind you buy) i wouldn't worry too much about it breaking. if you step on it or something like that I def. can't guarantee anything :P but they should hold up well!

  • @kodykoko are you gonna post more videos? please do i want to see more im planning on making some :)

  • this was really good! the only things i changed were the finish and the paint. i painted it chocolate cherry brown and went over it with a dry brush that had a purple-brown color to it to make it look like wood grain. and i used acryllic finish instead of spray-paint. this was really helpful, thanks!

  • Your tutorial is great. I will make my Sirius and Remus Wands like that as well! Thanks for it. If I'm done, I will send you a picture. =)

  • well that is very ez!

  • i know this is a late message but can u use any type of dough?and what is a dowel?

  • Man, I've tried it, but when I baked it, it just melted down.

What the hell is going on, man?

  • @RakaPp the clay doesn't require high heat at all! look on the clay package to make sure you are using the right temperature. I usually do like 225 F for about 15-20 minutes. Check it every now and then and make sure it doesn't start melting!

but that happened my first time! if you do it too hot for too long the clay will just melt

  • Man, I've tried it, but when I baked it, it just melted down.

What the hell is going on, man?

  • can you use air dry clay?

  • @MrMinnesota6 I have never done that, but someone else here said that they did. I don't understand how that would work, but i've never used air dry clay. when you use the oven-bake it hardens more as it cools, and it always worked best for me

  • @kodykoko thx

  • Thank u but I'm on Lord voldemorts side but love it!

  • OMG!!! Thank you soooo much this is awesome!!! You are awesome!!!! Because of you my wand looks so freaking amazing!!!!

  • thx,for making this vid so I can make my own wand for halloween!! :D

  • thx ur awsome

  • Where do you get the sculpy? Like at Walmart or Home Depot? Ohh man I'm getting pumped up just watching this video! I'm so ready to start making them already!

  • hi

  • ive always wanted to make my own wands but I never knew how to get it in the oven without causes bad flat spots! Thank you! Great video

  • this is sooooooo kool i tried to carve the wood thnx

  • hi

  • Is the clay name called Scalpey?

  • @sqiao12345 it's called sculpey. its an oven bake clay. there are a bunch of different types though

  • Just find a good stick, use a knife, and carve. that's the less expensive way.

  • WHERE DO YOU GET THE STICK?

  • @queenmaddy9999 walmart

  • what do i make the design with? a knife? my fingernail?

  • @AeCiTiUm probably a knife or even the back of the paint brush. I have the clay he's talking about and its easy to do what you want with it

  • @AeCiTiUm Your initiative? :/

  • wow thanks dude much better than the other vids ive seen

  • This is truly awesome, not like any of the other tutorials. I'm definitely following you.

  • ok thanx! :) i made it but i have a problem the wood stain wont cover up the neon yellow clay!!!!!!

  • Oh my God! Your wand is cool, but you are GORGEOUS!!!!! :o xXx

  • Im making one and it looks rlly good! Ill take a pic but how do i show you it?

  • Does the wood you use catch on fire in the oven??????

  • @TheAwesomest3beez3 No, it does not because of the low temperature you use to bake the clay. When you buy the clay make sure to read the directions with the temperature you need to use! if it is too high it will burn the clay and if it is not high enough it won't harden! :)

  • he is sort of HOT

  • Ur kinda cute;)

  • I tried this idea it awesome!!!!! Thanks alot!!!!

  • Its called sculpy oven bake clay

    And my email is kodahhh@gmail.com

    Good luck! :)

  • What kind of clay was that? And what's your e- mail?

  • Can i use a brush tot to make it (not to paint it) the wood of the brush, can i use that as well??

    And the video is amazing!!!

  • you're pretty awesome! Harry Potter andddd Lady Gaga?! WIN WIN WIN! LOVE them both hahah

...... i saw the little posters on your wall. =D

    this video is amazing!

  • for just a dowel and clay i love this vid, i LOVE how you make the designs on the clay, i thought it looked like a real wand look. like the ones you see on the alivans sight but without color.

  • @jdeathblood thank youu :) I am very happy with my methods! People seem to like it as well! good luck

  • what kind of dough or whatever it is are you using?

  • awesome.... could u make hermiones wand

  • wht did u do to make that wood like into a stick???

  • I just made one today, using your methods and the end result is uncanny! I used a drumstick, but...wow. Thank you so much!

  • a very cool and simple method do make your own wands, thanks for that!
