  • Nice and simple yet well structured. I could learn from this lol. I have a habit of just trying to play notes fast as an attempt to "show off" and look jazzy and it ends up not sounding not very musical at all :p. Lol I need to learn how to just have fun with it like u are. :D

  • cool videos! I would like to know where to learn to play this way... thanks!!!

  • @Luistensei What exactly do you mean with "to play this way"? In general I merely had lessons in playing the piano in younger years for about 3 years. Nothing special :D

  • what software do you use for you sound settings ?

  • @krowbar28 see description

  • is it hard to play this keyboard if you almost know nothing about keyboards?

Cause i'm looking to buy this one. But i have been playing piano for 8 years now

  • @marthinator10 Well, this keyboard is more built like a piano. (Weighted keys and the width of them.) But the keys are very easy to press, so that you may have difficulties playing it if you are a practised piano-player. The best thing is always to test it somewhere to feel it.

  • nice job men .. n can u record some thing n store it on the axiom

  • @loveagod: No, because it's a controller-keyboard.

  • Good song and performance

  • thanks :)

  • initial break in to the chorus was sick

  • This is amazing, I'm getting this keyboard soon....i can't wait.

  • awesome

  • thank you :)

  • realy liked it and when the melody came in at 1:12.. that was talent man. except the sound for that melody at 1:12 is no way good enough its to dry and needs to be clearer.. anyways im only saying cause the melody its self is amazing and deserves a more pro sound :D 5 star for skill tho.

  • Yay, thanks for the comment and rating. I think my skill is not very good ;) ... but it's enough for creating music I like ^^

  • the songs good man but if u wanna go further you gona have to get beter at Sound Engineering + eq.. that actuall sound is good just needs to be edited to sound clearer, more fresh..etc anyways realy like it. Differenace between u nd pro is sound engineering nd eq ing...thats it. but its a fukin effort lol.

  • sounds nice !

  • thx, nice to hear!

  • Really nice stuff man.

    Definitely a solid jam.

You should assign your keyboard to trigger your midi sequences. If you are able to play them in real time that is. You should be able to with reason. Triggering everything with the keyboard is always better.

I sequence my audio with ableton. are you using a sequencer? Just reason?

  • Yeah, I know that it comes better with sequencing "live", but in Reason it doesn't sound so good (or I do it wrong ^^) like in Ableton. And for Ableton I have no money :D ... I would also like to buy the Cubase 5 Update... but that's kind of expensive ^^

  • Yeah....

Without ableton I wouldn't be able to sequence with ease. I would recommend saving up for it. It's pretty much the best software I've ever purchased. I've been able to control whole songs with just my axiom. It's used every day in my studio.

  • wow... my axiom doesn't sound that good :p

    yours does though! Badass

  • Well, I guess it depends on the plugins/programs u use how it sounds ;)

The one I use here is Reason 4 from propellerheads.

  • YES

  • What did you mean with "YES"? :D

  • I have the same keyboard but I have a lot of delay. I can't use the asio option, only the MME. Do I need a better sound card or do I need the interface? Thanks.

  • An interface is never the wrong choice if you want nearly no delay and a clear sound and good recording options and so on... but a delay can have many reasons. Too slow PC, bad soundcard, wrong drivers, driver-conflicts, too big buffer.. whatever ;) But I guess in your case it's the soundcard. If you have the possibility: try another one.

  • ha do you like the band 3OH!3

  • yo u should take this to the clubs... like abyss, seaside, u no were the guidos r

  • No sorry, I don't know what guidos are. I am from germany, I never heard that word before :D And so I can't know clubs like "abyss" and "seaside"... but if you have Links for me, where I can see those clubs I would be glad about it ^^

  • wow man that was incredible shit.. i was jamming just listening to that.. nice. i just bought the same board and am just now learning how to set up all the presets and sounds. can i email you if i need a lil help getting started? (im new to all this so its slightly confusing) thx in advance

  • No problem I think ;) I maybe don't answer very fast... depends on how often I am online. But for me it was also new and why shouldn't I share the knowledge I have. ^^

    But I don't know everything, I am also a noob :P

  • Awesome song

  • thx very much ;)

  • ...bad ass bro. , what plug-ing are you using and what program???...later...

  • Well in Germany we say "Wer lesen kann ist klar im Vorteil". That means "if you can read, you have an advantage!" in english and means: Look into the video-info on the right before you ask something, where the answer is given already. ;)

    So long...

  • if thats 'Jamming' its bloody amazing

    well done love the sound

  • Okay, I must confess that the repeating part isn't "jammed" ;) ... it's still played live, but I had the idea before this video. But everything in between was created in that moment ;)

And if you like "jammin'", than watch my video called "Live jammin' - the second". Everything's improvised there...

  • Yeah, I like the arpeggiated part, how did you make that? (Probably with Reason 4 :P)

I'm buying a Axiom 49 soon, do you recommend it?

(Yeah, I know you have 61, but it's almost the same :P)

  • Yes, Reason 4 has a new "instrument" called RPG and its - surprise surprise - an Arpeggiator :D

Yeah, I would recommend Axiom-Keyboards, because you can do nearly everything with 'em. It's maybe not the best thing for piano-players, but to create music it's a very good choice; makes everything a lot easier!

  • xD Then it's perfect for me

  • For me too... just bought the Axiom 25.

  • Hey, how is the Axiom keyboard supported by reason? Do all the faders/knobs/triggerpads work the way they should?

  • With the right driver everything works fine ;)

I had some trouble in the beginning, but after reinstalling with all drivers and pressing the right knobs everything works fine ;)

  • How long have you've been playing the keyboard?! You play well!

  • Well, I played the piano for about 3 years. But that's a long time ago (maybe with 11-13 years and I am 23 now *g*) but I saw the video "the piano" on Youtube and I loved that song and I wanted to play it too... and so I got back to the piano (i switched to drums before).

  • Thats cool! Now you're a drummer and a piano player.

Do you plan on producing your own music to sell, or is this just for a hobby?

  • At the moment its just a hobby, but of course I would like it if I could earn money with it. And I am already producing own music... but I don't sell it. On my homepage you will find some songs.

  • I liked the arpeggio effects.

  • You play well , Iv never seen anything like this before , i might get a keyboard myself and give it ago. :)

  • Do so, it's never wrong to play an instrument ;)

  • Hey man, you are good, very good... ! Please post more songs... They are great !

  • Well, maybe I'll upload my finished songs one day on youtube, but if you want you can already listen to them on my homepage! Take a look at my channel, you'll find an Address there.

Or take this one: 3x w dot starfool-music dot com.

  • If you are a piano player you need 88 nothing less will suffice.

  • I know and I really wanted to buy the Keystation 88 Pro from M-Audio, but the problem is, that my room is too small. That keyboard wouldn't fit anywhere.

  • This is really cool. Love the sound.

  • I got my 49 keys a couple months ago and I love it.

Way better than my Radium 61

  • Mhkay, nice. But for me 49 keys would be too little. I really need 61. I would even like the full spectrum of 88 keys, but the thing is, that my little room doesn't offer enough space for it ;)

  • just got an oxygen 49. just gotta get good at the 'octave up/down' button.
