  • I love and respect Greg Peck and especially "to kill a mockingbird" but I feel it is too bad of all the people he mentioned not a word of James Stewart who was there or Henry Fonda who were two other Giants in his time period who he worked with.

  • Gorgeous human being all around!

  • So how do we help Mr. Peck's words, re: quality film and television, come true?

  • Quiet down all of you or so help me god I will hit you all with my ring hand!

  • I can't hear the theme from "To Kill A Mockingbird" without getting a tear in my eye - in large part to the wonderful, gentle, beautiful Gregory Peck - may he RIP. We'll never see the likes of him again.

  • What a guy. I love GP. Not as much as my family of course, but second best.

  • What I wouldn't do to give him a hug!! aaawww i love him.

  • Poor Gregory. He was only 73, yet he was breathing so heavily, even for his age.

  • If todays Hollywood is an "A" list group then this era was A+++++! Hollywood has lost its royalty image!! You know it is funny, TV and the big screen went completely the opposite way of Mr. Pecks speech!!!

  • If todays Hollywood is an "A" list group then this era was A+++++! Hollywood has lost its royalty image!!

  • Thank you mister Gregory Peck, nagyszerű alakításai voltak, egyszerűen megunhatatlan.

  • I love Gregory Peck, an amazing actor, and he was SO handsome in his day. I still from the age of 15, have had a major crush on Atticus Finch :)

    R.I.P. Eldred Gregory Peck 1916 - 2003

  • HE SAID NOTHING ABOUT Ava Gardner, his close friend, made 3 movies together and took her dog and maid after her dead.Gardner had Veronique Peck on the phone the moment george C Scott was hitting her ,if he only mentioned her name dammit !

  • To bad Henry Winkler turned out to be one of those trying to take advantage of others getting paid for ONE REVERSE MORTGAGE Goes to show rich getting richer using others!

  • Betty White at 2:40!!!!!

    Beautiful man.

  • @RichardElden im not opposing your comment or nuthin but i just wondered why you think that of him, because, he kinda was kinda talented :)

  • He was truly legendary actor besides James Stewart, Cary Grant, Jack Lemmon or others who those received this award too. And the background music from To Kill A Mockingbird is very nice.

  • @jannyabb i saw also richard widmark and heston there too.

  • "A special thanks to Audrey" awhh im watching Roman Holiday right now!

    1 word....LEDGE!

  • smaticus ass hole i know what i am talking about an d as a film lover of hollywood , bollywood, french , italian , german , spanish sweden and iranian cinema i know cinema whether old or new more than your entire family so therefore i stand by my comments about how not to insult those who have achieved more than you or your clan can achieve in their lifetime so instead why don't you improve your g.k first by learning american cinema history and the contribution by people who built hollywood.

  • @TheAmitchawla Dude he was defending Peck, not the opposite.

  • That guy's epic, even his demeanor is respectful. Why can't there be more people like that?

  • @JuanMacready Juan, I'd love to know what kind of douchey crusade is motivating you to comb YouTube for Gregory Peck videos and leave outrageously dickish comments about him. You'd think the guy ass-raped your mom and then beat her with a crowbar. Are you Peter O'Toole's great grandson? Or are you really just that petty?

  • @smanticus PLEASE SHUT THE HELL UP IF YOU DON'T KNOW THE WORDS CALLED CLASS, GREAT ACTORS ,WONDERFULL OR BRILLIANT ACTING OR CLASSIC CINEMA BEAUSE OF PAST ACTORS LIKE THIS AMERICAN CINEMA OR HOLLYWOOD AS IT IS KNOWN TODAY IS MORE POPULAR AND SUCCESSFUL AROUND THE WORLD . BECAUSE OF THESE ACTORS OF THE PAST AND THEIR MOVIES WHICH ARE TIMELESS PIECES OF ART HAVE MORE COMMERCIAL VALUE AND POPULARITY THAN TODAY'S SUPERSTARS OR TODAY'S BLOCKBUSTER MOVIES AROUND THE WORLD.

  • @TheAmitchawla , you have no clue what I'm even talking about. Please go back to sleep. Thank you.

  • R.I.P. GREGORY PECK! ONE OF MY ALL TIME FAVORITES.

  • to me Gregory Peck is the very definition of the word integrity.

  • @woollybully100 I agree!

  • @woollybully100 To me Gregory Peck is the very definition of everything wrong in America (See ads narrated by Peck Head concerning Bork). That's if your not historically challenged..........

  • @FFFFbody I hate his politics but I love his acting and integrity.

  • He was such a great actor, and often was overshadowed by a few other actors of his generation. My personal favorite role of his was in 'Gentleman's Agreement'

  • WOW! What a great find.

  • Rest in peace to one of my favourite actors of all time.

  • im so glad they gave this award to gregroy peck he was such a great man he was a true gentlemen the world will miss him forever u stole our hearts mr peck god bless our beloved gregroy peck

  • He was one of a kind. Need I say more?

  • I SAY THAT GREGORY PECK WAS THE GREATEST ACTOR THAT EVERY LIVED. I SAY THAT TO THIS DAY.........

  • @TheChanning62

    I agree completely

  • A TOTALLY CLASSY ACCEPTANCE SPEECH BY A TOTALLY CLASSY GUY:

Gregory Peck: a man's man, ... and what woman wouldn't LOVE to have him.

  • pure class...

  • He was a great actor.3506987.

  • hes actually got to be one of the most hansom men that ever lived

  • Wow what a presence

  • great man and actor

  • there is an amazing documentary about peck, it shows him going to speaking engagements.etc...i only saw once late at at night, havent been able to find since...anyone have any ideas or knows where to find it please let me know...

  • What's Helen Daniels from neighbours doing in there (at about 23 secs) ??

  • Gregory Peck was a phenomenal actor, not only that, I feel that he was a very wonderful, GENUINE/TRUE person...that's what counts..but I loath watching award ceremonies, bc the audience is mostly filled with phony baloney a-holes..they're clapping (phony!) makes me cringe..

  • Gregory Peck, Cary Grant, Ronald Colman, Dana Andrews and Errol Flynn will always be in my top 5 fave of actors with lovely voices.

And YES he is sorely missed.

    Thanks:D

  • Nice speach :)

  • everyone there is like 75 plus.

  • wonderful speech. I enjoyed very much. Mr. Peck had a beautiful spirit.;

  • Wow, despite this Guy's humour, I can respect what he says even with the amount

of Films he has made since the 1940's. In the Movie (or any Career Industry) It is not

about the amount of money you make from the Films you are in, it is the amount of

respect you get from your Co-Workers, & dedication you put into the role you are

playing. What a gentle, & respectable individual!

  • pit lucas and spielberg couldn't follow his advice from the 8th minute on!!...indy and those star wars prequels mighta benefitted some!

  • There are only a few actors today that are classy, completely different from the "golden age of hollywood" when every actor was classy, today's actors are a joke, megan fox, beyonce, ben affleck, and others, it's easy to look back on gp's work and say it's a good body of work, what a classy guy, but today's movies are ridiculous, like i said there are only a handful that are really classy and that put out good movies, kate winslet, cate blanchett, and johnny depp are a few.

  • SUCH a Voice! Just like my grandfather, Maurice McKenna who was related. Gregory was last of the good guys (as was headlined). Of course, he made McKenna's Gold

  • I watch this and just want to bawl. the way he talks about his wife is just too good to be true. actually, *he's* too good to be true.

  • Such a classy man. I miss old Hollywood.

  • I met Greg Peck once in New York when I attended the Film Society of Lincoln Center. Am glad he saluted Jennifer Jones, they made movie magic in Duel in The Sun and Jennifer's second husband David Selznick guided Peck and Jennifer's career. Peck was a gentleman and left a legacy of fine work. He had a high Catholic Mass for a funeral attended by many and is entombed in the crypt of the Cathedral of the Angeles, in Los Angeles..He was a giant star fine actor and fine gentleman.

  • His grandson, Ethan Peck, has that same interesting low voice! Wow

  • he's one the 5 actors tied as my favorite

  • classier than this it doesnt get....

  • so handsome, even up in his old age.. what a guy

  • awh my gosh !!! was there a better actor for the role of Atticus Finch? NO WAY!!!

  • I saw several of his former co-stars there. Angie Dickinson, Lauren Bacall, Richard Widmark, Jane Fonda, Anthony Quinn...

He was very funny, charming, and elegant.

  • He forgets his award when he exits the stage..

  • What a gentleman

  • What a true gentleman!

  • I'm a truck that turns into a robot. I'll do it right now. Hoo hee hoo hee hee hoo hoo. Now I'm a robot.

  • YOU WILL FOREVER BE OUR ATTICUS FINCH!

  • Thank you so much!

Do you have the whole ceremony? 'Cause I can't find it anywhere :/

  • James Stewart, Gregory Peck, and precious others will always define, for me, superstars.

Not only great actors, but classy men and women who never let their fame befoul their characters.

Atticus Finch will live forever in my heart.

  • i think i saw, Mr Stewart, Mr Heston, and Mr Widmark here. Sad thing that they all are gone but they will always be in my heart. ''i see you later'', a gentleman's humor. What a beautiful speech.

    Well deserved.

  • A warmhearted, wise, differenciated speech of a distinguished gentleman "in his later years".

  • Thank you for posting this. Gregory Peck is sorely missed.

  • You are very Welcome :-)

    He is sorely missed indeed.

  • @CliffmountPictures he was what i call a "cool gentleman" if that makes any sense.
