i like to bring the bar down to where my arms are at 90 degrees and then go up almost all the way but not quite so your shoulders are engaged at all times
I noticed the other day if i use dumbbells, keeping the angle of my forearm and elbow at 90 degrees allows me to lift more weight to having my arm tucked closer into my bicep.
check out some of the things people do with kettle bells. That is more of the fat burning compound workout people are looking for when they say "compound".
wouldnt it almost be an incline bench press hitting a little of the pecs cause the bench is at an angle not completly straight. i think it would be a better shoulder press if your back was straight
every exercise (even isolation) uses additional muscles to stabilize, often many more than you can feel. in this case though, utilization of the pecs is minimal.
You`ve just started yesterday your workout for the first time , and you are a Body Building Teacher already hahaha

Elbow under wrist always, not like shown here. Bring the elbows forward on the descent.
