I think the only way, Luke, to prevent international terrorism (imposed and encouraged by the United States) is to bring back individual liberties, promote independent journalism, cease to subsidize foreign nations and greatly limit our governments power. After all the citizens of the United States are the most sovereign, we control our own destiny; unfortunately we're two dumb to realize that were being systematically controlled by the media...sucks..I think I might move to Canada.
Luke, American here...The misdirection and indoctrination starts when we (Americans) are young. Meaning that propaganda starts from elementary school. Furthermore our enemies aren't the terrorist, bin-laden. It wasn't Nazi Germany because "they hated anyone that wasn't white protestant..lol" and Vietnam wasn't a threat...Our main worry and greatest threat is the prevention of American Global Capitalism. Our mission isn't to spread democracy, but crush any form of nationalism.
gerry301, watch the documentary, America: From Freedom To Fascism, you will know what Luke means. And by the way, Mussillini, said himself, "Fascism should be more properly named Corporatism, for it is the perfect merging of the corporation and the state." Which btw if you have noticed lately, our congress is full of lobbyists.
Don't denigrate youself by apologysing to the world for the US. But then again if you've traveled much you would see where it is, and often has been, popular to critisise the US. This has been going on for many years, except probobly during the two world wars when we were saving thier bacon. Back in the 60s when we had great civil rights movements we were critisised as racist except most countries now realise they have the same issues with thier own minorities.
Fascist? Please give me your definition as I have seen the word used many different ways. If you mean as in Mussillini during WWII. Its not close. So I assume your meaning has some other context.
yeah, the question is whether globalization makes headway by force because transnational corporations exploit the developing world for profit or because the spread of information and free society brings about the change from the inside out. the latter seems quite desirable in my view. the former not so much.

There is a book by Vandana Shiva called Earth Democracy that, in part, addresses this question.

I've never seen it, but it aparently exists. I'm just anti-imperialism.

The U.S. is great, I've got an american flag in my living room (the symbol for the U.S. I respect). Only lately has it become so fascist.

I think your complaints are baseless after looking at the "OIL IS THICKER THAN BLOOD" video.
AzrielSivad 4 years ago
what complaints?
Luke12000 4 years ago
"I'm just a little concerned that you may be using this as justification as some sort of hatred against the US or Western culture in general."

Hey, I just started watching your videos. Noam Chomsky is the man, isn't he?
AzrielSivad 4 years ago
yes, yes he is

I should mention that I'm only against non-democratic globalization.
