However, their success lies in their fan base. They are entertainers -- it's their JOB to entertain. If a large portion of their audience is begging them day in and day out for an act, it's just cruel to deprive them. I guarantee if those who want SGF boycotted, Second City would notice.

We have a responsibility both to our artistic integrity and to the audience. It's a balance. Without an audience, I'd be nothing. Just a person performing in my own room by myself. Thus, we, as entertainers and artists, owe a little to our fans. If people blow up their comments with a single request, it's rude to ignore it for as long as they have. Period.
