Beginning Student Taiko Drummers

This video again is by beginning student taiko drummers who put their hard effort and long hours of learning to give this performance. I understand the yelling, but this has to be the Fushu Daiko beginners. It was ok, but it was a mess at times. Good effort though, I envy them because I wish I could play soon enough.

I've noticed a few commentors here complaining about the yelling going on during the performance. For the unintiated to taiko, most of the yelling is actually coming from the drummers on stage. In the taiko community, it is appropriate to "cheer" on other drummers (especially the soloists) to help them bring out their best performance and to help them endure the pain and exhaustion they're experiencing. In my experience with Taiko festivals, most audience members are usually very quite.

I was at the fair, I took my camera and I vidoetaped the performance. I did not beat any drums, these are students who are learning Taiko. I put these up for others to enjoy. If you dont' like it, don't listen.

Obviously, YOU have never heard TAIKO live. These audio represent nothing, just like YOU! Learn something from other cultures, don't just pollute them. But then again, don't do that and keep being an AMERICAN, OK?
