He has never seen the original Japanese which is very different from what little he knows of the anime and the game. @ChardarYuGiOh .....the Anniversary pack was released back in 2008 or it may be hard to find. Vendor sites like Ideal808 might have it or if you really only want Blue Eyes those sites may sell the individual cards as well.

Holy crap these are cool. Getting the Buster Blader from ebay but the dragons are either ludicrously expensive or just not able to be found. G Megami looks nice. Wish S Skull had a dark background, or a background at all. Unlike g Megami he doesn't look look floating in rainbow light....

@shadowgeyser Just look at the cards. They are shiny, so as to hold the attention of a child. The starter sets are even labelled for children as young as 4 years old, probably for just that reason. Beyond the starter sets, it doesn't take much more than a 3rd grade education to play it like an expert. Not to mention yugioh merchandise always seems to be modelled by children. Strange. Also! These are hardly things for children to see, even in Japan. That is why in Japan Yugioh is intended for young adults, not children.

A childrens' television program which is based off a childrens' comic book, or "manga". The television program was also dubbed by an organization known as "4Kids". Which translates roughly into, "For Kids". Which means it is for children. The show is for children, the manga is for children, the childrens' card game is for children.

In Japan the show is targeted for young adults. 4Kids edit out the following: talk of Death when someone loses a Shadow Duel (not being sent to the "Shadow Realm"), use of guns (which are 4Kids censored out), in one episode a father is murdered by his son (in the 4kids version the father is sent to the "Shadow Realm". Still think it's only a cartoon?
