  • 3:24 ROFL

Hintern. Arsch. Hintern. Arsch, Arsch, Hintern, Hintern, Arsch, Arsch, Hintern, Hintern, Arsch, Hintern . . . [drinks] Ah! Arsch, Hintern, Hintern, Arsch."

  • 7:04 - 7:12, is Graham drunk? He seems a bit out of it

  • They're German is somewhat hard to understand, but what do I know; I'm not fluent. :)

  • i think johns german is absolute good. nearly perfect - for a non-german. he's on tv here in an commercial for william hill (bet) currently.

but the french part seemed to be much more interesting.

  • ich armes welsches teufli - oh albrecht albrecht dürer :D

  • The funny thing is that Graham Chapman only played doctor on Fliegender Zirkus. He was a real medical doctor.

  • Only mike palin and john cleese actually have a clue what they are saying lol, the rest have awful accents

  • brilliant

  • Yes, apparantly only Cleese and Palin were understood by the native speakers because their German was so good.

"We the American people believe sincerely that he has not been to the men's room for 5 years." XD

  • They do make quite a few references to Richard Nixon, don't they? XD

  • THey learnt to speak german "parrot-style", by just rehearsing the soounds fo the word without understanding it at all. Cleese hade som german in school though, so he probably sound the best.

  • And now for something completely different!

  • No i think their German is OK. Actually John Cleese's German sounds good to me, but i can tell that the other bloke has no clue of what he is saying, hahaha

In any case it's funny to see Monty Python speaking German, they should have done that more often! John Cleese seems to be really good at it.

  • they learnd it by hard; for me as a german it sounds very funny . But you are right Cleese´s german is ok.

  • @Elberiver11 john cleese mastered the german accent.

in the famous "animal lives" sketch showing the wolf, the seals and the pantomime horse and the pantomime goose, i lmao pretty much

  • @Elberiver11 When Cleese was at school, he dressed up as Hitler and did a mock up of the Nuremburg rally. Apparently his german was awesome back then too.

(He went to my old high school, so I've chatted to a couple of ex students who went to school with him.)

  • @RogueBlueJay How on Earth can you describe somebody's language skills as "awesome"? Look up the word, find out what it actually means. No, his German was not at all "awesome"; he was just very good at speaking the language. I do so hate this constant misuse of the word "awesome". It drives me mad.

  • @marksoutof10 you are not alone!

  • @marksoutof10 Your English is awesome.

  • @Elberiver11 afaik John Cleese has no idea what he is saying either, they just learned German phonetically. Seems Cleese was simply better at it that the others

  • the sketches are funny... but their german is even funnier :)

  • yeah i love the funny accent they have :d xd

  • @ Chongmaster. Gives the second episode on youtube ?

  • has not gone for the toilet for 5 years hahah
