Neat trick! But..one thing did cross my mind..those plastic bags aren't meant to be used for food preparation. Mixing it in there wouldn't be a problem, however, the heat would start to change the molecular structure of the bag, IE melting. Now, I'm no scientist, but I wouldn't think this would be very healthy, for the same reasons you don't microwave a Styrofoam cup. Granted, doing this once or twice probably won't kill you, but I wouldn't encourage this as a SOP, more of a last-ditch option.
