The clones were ordered about 10 years before the clone wars, and once the Republic found out about the situation with Obi Wan being held hostage, they went to Geonosis to destroy the facilities there.

Though in my opinion the war technically starts with the first movie, however dreadful it may have been.

You obviously don't understand the movies. The CIS broke off from the Republic and had been building a droid army to go to war with the Republic. The Trade Federation was supplying the CIS with droids because they were making money off of it, and the Banking Clans were giving loans to both sides in order to pay for their respective soldiers.

Padme acting like she was going to die to have a romantic sappy scene, but then suddenly coming up with the plan to chew on the handcuffs like she had it planned all along. PLOT DEVICE.

-the crab thing aiming at few milimeters above Obi-Wan's hands - if he'd aim at his center, he wouldn't have cut the chain; yet the direction tries to pass it off as Obi-Wan dodging an otherwise fatal attack and using it to break the chain
