Roaming is in any animals nature. I think it all depends on where the owner to the animal lives. Farm cats can roam wherever they please & not worry nor does the owner have to worry bout the safety of their cat while town or city cat owner does with cars and wildlife 'cause of far less forests or woods so they have no where to go.
Cats shouldn't be roaming around free outside anyway.... It's irresponsible. Think about the damage to wildlife that the cats are responsible for, for example... They often kill small animals vital to the ecosystem, often just for the mere pleasure of it, they rarely eat what they kill. further more, most cats are un-altered, meaning they are roaming free and breeding like the plague.
