the purple days is a good vaporizer indeed, but it is in an entirely different class than a whip vaporizer. it is like comparing a prius to a corvette- both are cars, but they serve two completely separate purposes.

@LSDude I will totally agree with you. With a PD you will never have to worry about temp. No settings to worry about and nothing to break. Waiting period is 8wks yet totally worth it once recieved.

Will the herb really combust when inhaling too slowly? I got it mixed up at first, I thought if you hit to fast it will be a problem so I hit slowly. I find I get more vapor with slow hits. Am I really burning the herb or heating it too much?

I haven't gotten any complaints with the smell, which would be evident with smoking and not so much with vaping so I always presumed I was hitting correctly. Should I look out for anything when hitting next time?

Btw I set the temp to about 5 past.

Also the herb is usually a medium to dark brown when the bowl is finished.

it is not always a guaranteed burn if you suck too slowly, but as you do so, the potential to burn increases.

i would guess the reason that you are able to take slow hits is that your temp is low enough.

try turning the temp up just a little bit sometime and pulling a little faster with the hit. you may notice yourself getting larger hits than with the slow pulls.

in the end, the great thing about these vapes is their indivuality, they all work just a little different for different people

Yeah the slower you suck the more your herb is heating up.. so if you have the correct temperature and take your slow smooth hit you should be getting fat Vapor

The SSV has the best vapor quality hands down and it's usually the one I recommend to friends and let them try first. However, I also have a Volcano and it's definitely useful for passing around in large circles like a more traditional smoking implement vs. people having to get up every time they wanna puff.

i certainly do not mean to imply that the volcano and other bag fillers are not good vaporizers. they are quite convenient- absolutely no learning curve. i just much prefer the thicker, richer hits. for the price of one volcano you can buy 3-4 buddhas. you can have a different strain in each of the three vapes that can be placed around the circle so hits are in reach for everyone.

you dont need rules for smoking. a 5 dollar pipe and a lighter is all you need.

vaporizing, especially with a whip vape is a fine art.

plenty of people are like you and think that just because the volcano costs the most that it is the best. most people experienced with vaporizing know that it is an overpriced, overhyped machine. in terms of hit performance, it is substandard to almost any $150 whip vape.

Ive tried the volcano and buddha side by side. Buddha wins without question.

Whips are 3-5 bucks. lol Plus you can clean them. Vapor doesnt leave much residue behind. Bags you cant clean...And that crackling sound is SSSOOOO annoying to hear while stoned.

Get a volcano. Id rather be able to not have to worry about a bag of vapor, and get some when I want. Or not need to deal with crackling sounds of stupid bags.

joints and blunts are the easiest for beginners cuz all u have to do is inhale, just sayin haha, and also the fuji knock off of a volcano is just as good because i have smoked both in the same sesh

and the only diff is the fuji has bigger standard bags but im sure u can buy bigger bags for a volcano easily. just gettin my two cents in haha

Those are some nice tips wish I knew about when to stop hit my hit and how to hit the vape the right way my first time vaping. I had a problem hitting it to fast and taking to big a hit but learned after about 2-3 hits.

I have a question, sir. I recently took my heater cover off of my DBV, and the metal part on the heater cover wont go back on with a tight seal (right now its a ll wobbly and really loose). i want to fix this. Can you help?
