@Claesf93 I laid out the basic timeline for the video in adobe premiere first, and then did a ton of work in photoshop, and finally put it into after effects for special effects and 3D rendering.

Unfortunately I'm very busy with college right now and don't even have time to edit myself. But there are a lot of great tutorials you can find online. Everyone has to learn somehow, and i watched a bunch before I became competent with my editing programs.

In german there's a saying "Das Resultat kann sich sehen lassen" which translated means something like "The effort was worth the result". This really applies here, it's the best AMV I've ever seen.

The plot is pretty difficult to describe without giving away any spoilers. You can find a summary on wikipedia if you want though. It's one of the best anime i've seen so i really recommend it if you don't mind violence.

I'm pretty bummed out you didn't win. I thoguht this was a lot more deserving than the one that did win Action, which I feel only won because it had Dragonforce. And while the concept of the winner of show was good, the execution of it was oddly similar to something my eleven year old brother would do.

It's because of this AMV that I watched Elfen Lied. In one sitting. :P

Ok, first of all, Dragonforce is not crap music. It may not be your type of music, but it not crap, ok? Second, as much as I loved this amv, and I at least put it in for best editing, I have to agree the the Dragonforce amv was better, considering it was entered into the ACTION category. Overall, I'd say this is the better video, but the other one exemplified the action of anime better. This was one anime, more of a drama than anything. The other showed off anime as a whole.

Music preference is an opinion so that doesnt really matter. I personally don't like dragonforce myself.

I had trouble categorizing this amv. It doesn't really belong in an all action or drama category since its a mixture of both. This may have hurt me in the judging, but as long as people find it entertaining then i'm happy.

I guess it helps that I don't really like most of the action animes out there nowadays besides Gurren Lagann. I tend to watch more of the Seinen genre since the plots don't just jump every which way and tug the characters along for the ride for the hell of it.
