No, I have 'Tragédiennes.' The cd also has the "Monologue d'Armide: Enfin il est en ma puissance" and the overture and passcaille. Armide is my favorite opera! :)

you should be..shes a goddess as elvira...i even have a DVD of her as elvira (too bad i dont know how to put dvds on here) then production is weird with a capital W, but the singing is awesome!

yea it is :) but you can tell shes kinda self-consious about it..and at the end of the opera (when she goes to see don giovanni and beg his repentance) shes wearing nothing but a bra! even better :)

Hmm yeah well I don't know how singers agree to be put in crappy stagging like that. The agrippina one was weird enough...all those zombies standing around? She also in that finta giardiniera and i think she has the worst costume in that...its to bad she isnt in more dvds...why didnt they make one of her as the countess!

I actually like her costume in finta..but idk why there arent more DVDS of her... Rene Jacobs released a DVD version of Figaro but it had a diff. countess- it should've been her-- and another question..when Jacobs recorded Don Giovanni- why wasn't she Elvira? She already recorded two major roles for him!

Thank God she wasn't Elvira..that dg sucks! His Figaro was great! His cosi fan tutte ok and his dg just sucked...My opinion of jacobs went from being like the best conductor to just a smuckus over time. If you listen to her sing the fiordiligi arias in her cd with bolton...1000 times more life than jacobs I think.

The only thing I extremely disliked about his dg was the lagging tempi! Bernarda Fink was the best in Cosi- and Yes the figaro is the best. Did you like the Marcellina in that CD, Marie Mclaughlin- shes one of my fav's. And I can tell the difference in the fior. arias. Jacobs tempi are too slow...fiordiligi is supposed to 15 yrs old not 50!

Have you seen the glyndenbourne cosi? There is no other.... I've put alot of clips from it.

The only part of the glyndenbourne cosi i like is miah persson has Fiordiligi. My faves are the Berlin production with Dorothea Roschmann, and the peter sellars staging..they're both equal to me...roschmanns come scoglio is on youtube..go take a listen!

You didnt like the rest of the cast in cosi from glyndenbourne? I thought it was just about perfect.

*gasp* how can you detest dorothea roschmann?!?!?!?!? shes my fav! what about her dont you like? shes perfect!!! but I do respect your opinion..the one singer I detest that everyone seems to love is emma kirkby...i HATE her!

theres nothing specifically i dont like about the glynd. cast..it was just a tad dry at points..and the tempi dragged a bit-- i like my tempi on the faster side for eveything i listen to

I dont like Kirby either..Dorothea Roschmann is a blob, a hog..she sounds terrible and acts worse. I first saw her as sussana in figaro and ive never liked her since that. Worse she just gets more and more popular. She should be nicknamed the thing! She could even convince me that Mozart is a crappy composer.

Well Dorothea Roschmann replaced my hate for Renee Fleming, I used to hate her as I do roschmann now. I love Anna Moffo :)

I actually met renee live in person at ravinia! she was so nice to me..even took a pic. i actually do not like anna moffo..shes one of those singers where I hear her voice and i'm like- its good but kinda generic..same with monserrat caballe
