Yep. This is when the car still looked classy (albeit conservative), IMHO. I think the styling refresh made it look like a cheaper car (reminds me of a Saturn).
The European Legend today looks decent though. Still conservative by any measure, but it is a hell of a lot more assertive than the '09 RL.
@thabitpulak I would agree with anyone who says the 05-08 RL looks better then the new one. The face on the new looks butchered like it had a facelift gone wrong and bad botox on the grill. This one looks fabulous and classy.

It's the 2005-2008 RL. The 2009 RL has a different styled grille. I don't know what exact year this is.
