  • This is the song I have been looking for. It's my most favorite by Mozart. Well, my most favorite classical piece on earth! Thank you man.

  • The violas in my orchestra always tune their instruments in classical era tuning :P

  • This video was just added to a music playlist at JustPlay.fm

  • This is one of the best songs ever written! Better even than Edgar Winter Frankenstein but only a little ;) I wish I could compose music even half this good. Mozart crapped things with more talent than most other composers had in total.

  • listen to the best version here...

    youtube.com/watch?v=6X3WXYLBePE

  • i love marybeth

  • Musician Harlan Rorman here. Go to YouTube and Search RORMAN and see many Videos of Harlan and Dane Rorman playing Music.

  • this is perhaps the most well known movement, but 2,3,4 are superior i think

  • It's funny how even today people are most familiar with the music Mozart originally wrote "for the masses", like this piece. As good as this piece is, it doesn't even scratch the surface of his true brilliance. his string quintets, late concertos, and especially operas are where its at.

  • OMg Classical Era Tuning...i'm in love!!!

  • Ahh! Such a classic! (pun intended)

This piece gives such a lovely melody. When it comes to music, Mozart is a genious.

  • Beautiful....!!!

    Always emotional!!!

  • This performance is using a classical era tuning. I believe it is around A=430 Hz.

  • Comment removed

  • @Silverlin212 dang 432? lol. too dark and low lol

  • @violaplayer1995 This recording is tuned at A=430 which is even lower then 432.

430 is the tuning Mozart personally used according to musicology.

  • @Silverlin212 oh wow thanks! I didnt know that!

  • @tovadorfman thats half correct the instruments are tuned a little bit different than usual

  • ha I will live to see that

    hahahahah

  • He, is going, to kick your fucking ass.

And, you know, his name is Kyle Gass

  • He is going to... Yeah you know the rest haha... Jokes aside this is one the most inspiring pieces of music ever written! and if you did'nt get the joke at the start,,, think Tenacious D

  • I like it !!! what is the best song from mozart ???

    ANSWER ; PLEASE !!!

  • this.

  • ENERY SONG

  • Love the Artwork! I assume its from an interpretation of Mozart's "Lady of the Night"

  • This song is a famous piece that still is beautiful to listen to. It helps to relax and takes you back to the 19th century when Beethoven and Mozart, and other famous pianist and conductors were around. If i had a time machine, i would go back in time and take a picture of Beethoven as well as Mozart, that would be amazing.

  • Not to nitpick, but Mozart was 18th century (1700s). :)

  • @HARMONICO101 That´s not nitpicking, that´s a fact:)

  • They also played the fortepiano not the piano. fun fact i learned in music 101!

  • ehhe! Thanks for correcting me...

  • as harmonico said they were 18th century..Liszt, Chopin, and maybe Schubert as well were 19th century..18th is boroque, and 19th is romantic.

  • Baroque: 1600-1750

    Classical: 1750-1825

    Romantic: 1825-1900

20th Century: Plz tell me you know this people. I'm begging you to know the years of the 20th Century.

  • @JennyTS13

    Medieval: c.800-c.1450

    Renaissance: c.1470-1600

    Baroque: 1600-1750

    Classical: 1730-1820

Romantic: 1803-1900 (Beethoven's 3rd symphony "Eroica" in 1804 is widely seen as the first Romantic piece)

    20th Century: 1900-2000

  • @JennyTS13 No disrespect but if the Romantic period started in 1825 then where do fit almost all of the works of Beethoven? He died in 1820's. Peace.

  • the tune of the gate of heaven

  • That artwork is purley amazing, along with Mozart's piece

  • Karl Friedrich Schinkel

    German Painter and Architect,(1781-1841)

Set Design for The Magic Flute:Starry Sky for the Queen of the Night(1815) Gouache 46.3x61.6cm Berlin,Kupferstichkabinett,Staatliche Mussen zu Berlin-Preussischer Kulturbesitz

  • I really love this symphony.

  • I'm glad you like it, but is not a symphony. As it says in the desciption, this is a "serenade", which is essentially, aprropriately, night music meant to be enjoyed playing in the background of various social gatherings of the aristocratic elite.

  • Thanks. that's a whole new perspective of orchestra. I don't know much about orchestra but piano though.

  • Oh yes, there are many many orchestral forms out there. Orchestral suites or Overtures, symphonies, symphonias, concertos etc.

  • lol that picture is actually from the queen of the night

  • Yes it is. You're point?

  • Are all of your orchestral videos tuned down classical style or umm was it 412hz..?? well lower than 440hz right?

  • It depends on the recording and the ensemble. Some are as low as 392htz which is about a whole tone lower.
