ROC got expelled from UN in 1971 under act 2758 which meand that PROC got sole representation of both mainland and island China even Taiwan. untill 1971 Taiwan or ROC where sole representatives in the UN council but as they got dispelled and PROC got the representation right Chiank Kai Sheks goverment was seen as an illegal proclamer for whole China. since 1991 ROC have tried to reenter UN as Taiwan, Republic of Taiwan or Republic of China or just China.

With Taiwan's new president (who is a mainland Chinese sent by their government to control Taiwan) has started to change the Taiwanese culture. One of the examples, is that Taiwan maintains the traditional Mandarin character to preserve our culture, but China has thrown away their heritage for more convenient use by using shortened characters has petitioned for Taiwanese schools to use only the shortened way, which was revoked angrily by the people.

The Nationalists wanted to preserve "Chinese" identity over the Taiwanese, some of its' population came from China 600-800 yrs. before the modern exodus of pro- China exiles & a few inhabitants belonged to ethnic indigenous Malayo-Philippine hill tribes.

To this day, when you buy a product made in Taiwan, it reads "made in Taiwan, NOT made in China" the PRC recognized by the international community, refused to accept Taiwan as a legitimate republic, they lost their UN seat to PRC in 1971. +

The "Other" China, Taiwan shown itself to be ruled only by themselves. I hope there won't be a nuclear conflict between Taiwan and the PRC (mainland China), an old fear that never ended. Taiwan is a nation in exile since their defeat in the Chinese Civil War in the 1940s when Kai-Shek & his nationalist government ruled there with an iron fist. Also, for all of those who may want to attribute RoC success solely on the dying nation of USA here's the fact:

USA did absolutely NOTHING for China during the civil war, and when the war in Korea broke out USA prevented MacArthur from pummling the CCP once and fore all. And finally, during Vietnam Kissinger convinces USA to become trading partners with PRC, thus giving PRC as much capital as it could ever need to build up it's army to threaten the rest of Asia with.

There is another story on this show about Chinese flooding Russia. I do not really care about what happens to the Easterly regions of "Russia" (most of it is uninhabitable anyways, example; Vladavostok probably belongs to Korea), but I (especially since I'm a Slav) see this as a disaster in the making for all West of Siberia with PRC's slow encrouchment, as communism has instilled within the Chinese national spirit a sense of entitlement whilst stripping it of any concept of 'boundaries'.
