Hey ajwiebe - so what? Junya Watanabe was Rei Kawakubo's protoge at Comme des Garcons (CdG) since 1984. Watanabe was chief designer for CdG Tricots, CdG HOMME, then in 1993 Junya Watanabe Comme Des Garçons.

Comme des Garcons was shaped and defined by Junya Watanabe. It's all academic anyway. I was merely impressed by the shift in style this video clearly indicates. It's distinct from anything he's ever done (whether under his own label or Comme des Garcons).
