i just saw vince dimartino at interlochen and at first i was like thats not him then i saw him set his embochure he always puts it on his lips and then adjusts it from an injury in college he is such a great guy everyone who can should go to interlochen music camp

I just came back from a music camp in michigan and took from dimartino for 3 weeks... omg hes so amazing he completely turned my playing around and improved my range from a measley high C to a comfortable double high C in two lessons. hes my hero (he teaches at centre college i believe, look him up)

DiMartino played a clinic at a local college when I was in high school, and he was a really nice guy, as well as insanely talented (he did a show with the college jazz band, and for some of the numbers he covered the piccolo part). Later that weekend he played a concerto with the local symphony orchestra, and I still recall that he wiped his mouth on his jacket sleeve, as he does near the end of this video. Great guy, great talent.

Nope, that is a Schilke S something(S is because of the thumbring). Monette got amado waterkeys and ovate tuningslide. And Monette is not as good as they look! I got two of them.. Hard to play in orchestra or hornsection. But nice looking...:-)
