Do he REALLY broke his legs??I dont want to offend you but you have to know that if you dont make a proper nest the legs will cripple when the bird grews up!
I found a baby Raven with crippled feet too. I cared for her till she was 5 months old and she took off one day. I was so sad but so proud. They are the most beautiful animals.
Ah, the poor thing! Yes, it's unfortunate that so many rescued crows have messed up feet, but when you consider the height of the typical crow's nest, you understand how it can happen. Glad to see this guy gets to live instead of becoming a meal!
What a cute bird!!! And he had his legs broken? Poor thing. We found a baby pigeon, but didn't know it had a broken leg, so now she has one not-perfect leg, but is doing fine otherwise. I've always wanted a crow, and hopefully will find one one day! Does your friend still have this bird! So so cute..
I've just always wanted a bird like that.. I'll probably never get one, 'cause the only way I could have one is to find a fallen/injured baby somewhere ~ can't really see it happening, and hopefully (for the bird's sake) it won't happen! They're just amazing birds!! Intelligent with lots of personality. :)
Fallen birds should be left alone unless they are obviously hurt or will certainly die (eg. bleeding, lying down, featherless) Most birds when fledging look helpless, but mom and dad are nearby watching.
