There are many things that couldve happened to change this. Like padme just shooting maul when he was standing defensless. or anikan and obiwan being crushed by the pillar cause yoda couldn't react in time. or mace stabbing palpitine in the face when he had the chance. All the possibilities.

No Obi-Wan wouldn't have been as powerful. Though Anakin is a terrible character in the prequels, Obi-Wan learned alot of things from Anakin and if this happened, Obi-Wan would not gain much fighting experience cause there is no clone wars. Obi-Wan will be powerful, but not as much if this really happened.
