  • MY FIRST LOVE, WHEN I SAW THIS VIDEO CLIP IN1975 ,AGE 10 STILL LOVE HER AND ALWAYS DO.....

  • The most beautiful singer in the history of popular music.

  • buddy holly did the same thing in the 50's lol

  • talent used to be pure, now it's purely commercial

  • She has a really genuine smile in this video :) You don't see that every day.

  • Hello. Olivia Newton John is really Princess Di. Is anyone awake?

  • I always had trouble with the verses of this one - the melody line turns a lot of corners.

But I loved the chorus from the first moment I heard it.

  • John Farrar is absolutely a genius and Olivia is a perfect muse!

  • she's got the most beautiful smile I've ever seen. she is my god, I have no other

  • One of ONJ's greatest classics. As much as I like the Journey song this is way way better. Her vocals is goosebumps stuff and John Farrar's guitar intro is magic.

  • I miss those '70's feathered hairstyles...they are still so pretty.

  • je to absolutně dokonalé

  • I haven't heard this a ages!

I wore a hole in the 45 of this...the flipside was "Greensleeves".

It's a great tune and a sweet performance.

  • That's real beauty right there people. These skanks like Gaga and Katy Perry should take lessons from Mrs. Olivia N John as to how to present themselves and they should learn to sing from her as well!

  • Wonderful music...

  • LOVE!

  • What a truly hopeful and uplifting song ! The entire "Don't stop believing" album was just incredible.

  • Oh! This song hits in Thailand when I was young just 2 year olds, I was born in 1973

  • Did Olivia release a video clip for the song Come on over? Can't find anything except

    much later live performances.

  • she's so great it makes ya want to cry

  • Hit #1 AC, #14 country, #33 pop in Billboard. How'd it do in the UK, Livvy's homeland ? God bless!

  • Alone and free...I'll follow in your wake....And pray....

  • i love football````

  • i love baseball

  • I can't believe there is ANOTHER song called Don't Stop Believin. Like that is such an iconic title and that it was taken by someone eelse.

  • very 70s clip, she was miming to someone just off camera with a tape recorder

  • Australia's Helen Reddy gave her a lot of help and advice ...they are very close.....Pity Helen has let herself go a bit

  • Thank you!!

    i love this song!

    (^^v

  • What very few people realize is that Olivia sang all of the back-up vocals on this song. It just goes to show how talented she truly is. She simply sang all of the back-up vocals on different tracks and then came in and sang the lead. Is that not incredible? She covers almost 5 registers on this song alone. Like her best friend, Karen Carpenter, they just don't sound any better. Even today! But, they try so hard.

  • @greg8698 I agree with you, any singer who can sing her own armonies....very few can do it...n hers r impeccable

  • I agree with you ... I love both Olivia and Karen!

  • My favorite song of hers. Uplifting, sincere and wholesome. Just like Olivia.

  • This is a very inspiratonal song. It tells us to keep our heads held high no matter what adversity we face. One of the best singers ever. I believe she had 12 top 40 hits on the pop charts in the 70's,more than any other female pop singer in that decade. I fell in love with her and her music in the 70's and still do. Simply timeless music.

  • I think of all the ONJ songs...and I was and am a HUGE fan...I love this song the most. It was the first of hers I loved and will probably be the last. Gawd, I love her music...voice...everthing.

  • you right i do !!! :o) my fave song i reckon!!

  • This is a theme song for me. and others. to look for the bright side. Thank You Olivia!

  • Olivia RULES! Thank you for posting!!! =D

  • loved her as a teen still do!

  • Olivia has one of the sexiest mouths in the world of music...

  • What a voice, I love olivia's voice, Her voice and karen Carpenter's voice are my favorites. I remember that when I was a child I thought Olivia was an angel because of her voice. I adore her and she's such a lady and great singer. Thanks for posting this video, I love the song but I had never seen the video before, i wasn't even born yet when this came out but somehow I love Olivia's music and voice, she's wonderful

  • You would think MCA would post more of her videos in studio quality.

  • no shit

  • I loved this song, till this day i still remembered this song in my mind,i couldn't remember who sang it but i knew it,i was 3 yrs old then.Who ever u r thnx for the memories. They will never make songs like this again.

  • amandafoxxx, THANK YOU for posting my favorite Olivia song!

Hers is one of the sweetest and loveliest voices.

Loved her then; still love her now...

I grew up listening to dear Karen Carpenter and her. Ahhh, how I miss those good old days...

    Thanks so much again, amanda!

  • This is my favorite Olivia song as well. It's so beautiful with a bit of sadness. My other favorite female vocalist is Karen Carpenter. Miss her so much.

  • Olivia Newton-Johnwas the Queen of pop music in the 1970s through the early 1980s before Madonna came along.

Olivia and John Denver were the first Alternative Country Pop music stars the way Johnny Cash and Linda Ronstadt were the first Alternative Country Rock stars.

    People forget that.

  • In my opinion ONJ was and still is a much classier [quality] entertainer than Madonna. The entertainers of "today" like B. Spears - etc. have alot to learn.

    Have a good one.

  • this is my favorite song aussi aussi aussi oi oi oi.

  • I realize now that much of my unfounded optimism came from listening to this lovely voice in my youth. Such beauty.

  • This song really brings back memories...so hard to believe it has been that many years ago! Sounds as good today as it did then, I'll bet there are few current songs that will still be played 30 years from now.

  • Fantastic song...ONJ and John Farrar, wow, what a pair!

  • Eternally poignant lyrics from one the world's most angelic voices.

  • another example of how you do not have to shout a song, or warble or do voice theatrics. onj's voice was pure and clear. that's good enough for me. plus she's an aussie like me.

  • Gee...breath control, no howling like a hound-dog or whining like a sick cat...she'd never make it big these days!

  • what an angel

  • Geabely I'm with you on this song; wasn't sure if I would find it here. Olivia is an obvious Gem.

  • Thanks, glad someone caught this! Cheers!

  • Nothing better than Olivia Newton-John on Youtube, except hearing her sing in person! She's timeless! Awesome! Thanks for posting this!

  • I'm embarassed that my comment two weeks ago was the last one. Come on ya'll! What a beautiful voice, song, etc. I want to hear from you.

  • God love Olivia. One of her most beatiful songs, so pure. What a voice.

  • OMG-others remember this song. This album was underrated and I was shocked when it went nowhere. I bet I played it more than anyone.

I always wore out her records, had to buy second copies of some of them!

  • While most people don't realize it. outside of the songs from Grease and Xanadu, this was one of her more popular songs. And another thing few people know, she sang all of the back-up on this song as well which means she covered about 4 octaves singing each part. Now, that is a real singer one todays singers couldn't hold a candle to. Olivia was and still is amazing.

  • This is so rare and special! I so love this song. It's still just as beautiful today! Thanks for sharing this video.

  • Morik1 has it right, this album is a landmark for Olivia. I was lucky to have it signed by her on a recent tour in San Diego. It is my favorite because of the title song. I love so much of her other music, but this early sweet stuff has made an impression on me. Thanks Olivia for some wonderful music!

  • One of my favorites, thanks for posting. Is this the offical music video?

  • Oh my...! this is grate, beautiful, God bless Olivia, for her heart and for a sweet and tender voice.

  • Why have I never seen this?

  • WOW, this is my all-time favorite...thanks so much for posting.

  • Don't ever give up hope and STOP BELIEVING... :)

  • I have always been a big fan , in fact Olivas album was one of the first put to the new formatt called CD and Lazer disc. thanks for sending bootsnfurrugs. :o)

  • A beautiful song. Thanks for posting.

  • What a gentle beauty pre-Olivia was/is...I think of this song every time "my smiles meet stormy ground" (!) It still sounds terrific, and while it's sad that music isn't like this anymore, at least we had it, can remember it and see great videos like this on YouTube! Thanks so much for posting this--it brings a lot of great memories back!

  • The album Don't stop believin' was the first she recorded completly in America (Nashvile exactly) and it was her last pop-country album. Among the gems on it are this lovely tune but you can't miss: New born babe, A thousand Conversations,Compassionate Man (one of the best ever written by Farrar) and of course SAM!

  • favorite song!

  • great song i related to this lots

  • She redid this on her album for Hallmark..which all proceeds went to breast cancer fund. Anyway..it's fantastic! She still sounds just as awesome today!

  • God, this still sounds great. One of her best :)

  • hi amanda..can you share this video with me?

  • Thanks man...this so nostalgic, I feel like I've drifted back to the 70's in a time machine. Thanks so much for this !!!

  • This is very good old music. Thank you.

  • That is a fantastic video clip to see!!! The 70's really have a special great feeling when it comes to music, and this song with the lovely Olivia is a good reminder:-)

  • Tell me about it, music had that aura that was different.

  • My sentiments exactly. It's my favorite era in music (and everything else), and Olivia has been one of my favorite singers for the last 30 years. I have 9 of her albums(on vinyl)and her Video Gold DVD collection. This video I had never seen before- VERY rare. Thank you, amandafoxxx.

  • This is a real guilty pleasure of mine. I always loved this song -- even though it could rot your teeth, it's so sweet.

  • Wow what a legend you are adding this clip. Have wanted to see this again in so long. This is one of my all time fave country songs from Olivia. Thank you very much for the memories.

  • you are a god for posting this ... totally awesome golden oldie

  • Oh man, this is classic!!
