the song is actually owned by the San Miguel Corp.

There is no contract stating that at the moment and based on experience ALL use of the song 'Iisang bangka' for AVPs videos commercials in the previous years have been coursed through them.

like an AVP / Video the marines did using the same song. and a rearrangement done for the CCP political rock musical "EJ". San Miguel did not claim any rights to the song when these were implemented.

When we, from CMLI Voices in Harmony, talked with The Dawn through their manager, they pointed us to SMC which apparently, according to them, owns the song's copyright.

Fortunately, SMC gave us the right to have it arranged for choral performance. It was commissioned by CMLI Voices in Harmony to be its contest piece as arranged by Eudy Palaruan.
