@VisitingBoss Yeah, they are total shit . . . don't spend your money on these because if you do, you may grow 5-6 ft tall plants and produce tight nugs by the pound. That would be horrible!
@smiles2stylzz You just have to be careful with temps. With these lights - keep the ambient temp at around 85 but you cant let your reservoir get over 70 or you get oxygen depletion. 65-70 on the reservoir should be good.
@Crysmatic This grow used about 40W per sq ft. The yield averaged 6 oz per plant - keep in mind though that there are 20+ strains represented in this video.
Thanks. So in place of a $450 1000W HPS in 18 sq.ft, you use four 180W UFO at $2400. How many crops before the initial investment profits over an equivalent HPS setup? I figure a dozen crops over a couple of years.
You wouldn't have dropped tens of thousands of dollars on light if they didn't work. Some bud shots were impressive, others weren't. What is your yield per watt? How many watts per square foot?
Good growers would be embarrassed to burn their plants (or use Dyna grow). Samples grown under HPS have tested WELL over 20% THC with negligible CBN (google budgenius).
If the production value (i.e. voiceover, gimmicky transitions, constant mention of company name, etc.) was much lower, I would probably believe this video. I have nothing against LEDs, I am curious, but this is what I want to see: Two grow rooms, same locale, HPS/HID on one side, LEDs on the other, all clones from the same mother, taken the same day, planted in the same medium at the same time. Maybe even 12/12 from start to minimize any possible differences. That would convince a lot of people.
I bought two 180 watt ufos from them and boy what a quality difference in the bud!!! And my plants actually turn purple now with the heat decrease!! I will never go back to HIDs
@ozzfestfan01 and you save hundreds on electricity cooling units and bulbs. thing last for over 50,000 hours and to be honest iv seen A LOT MORE for these lights.
how many do you sell a year mate there shit dont waist ya money

how would they work if used on aero-ponics or hydro compared to soil.

pro source would one 90w ufo led be enough for a single 5 gallon DWC bucket? let know what would work best please
emerica9110 5 months ago
@emerica9110 Yeah, it would work well if kept to a 2x2 ft area and the plant under 3ft tall.

@Crysmatic Yeah, that sounds about right . . . should take 18 months or so to recoup costs. Cheers!

Just don't buy the 90w... 1w LED's are not good enough.. :)

@Nikolaj06 Actually this entire grow was done with 90W and 180W . . . both of which use 1w chips.

Well, they give a 90 day guarantee so if you don't like them, just return them . . . doesn't get much easier :)

are they more expensive?

the 180 watt is $600 bucks and the 350 watt is $1,200!
